The stapling system further comprises a firing mechanism configured to deploy the staples along a staple firing path longer than 60 mm, a camera configured to capture an image of the patient tissue, a display, and a controller configured to generate an image of the staple firing path, wherein the images are displayed on the display.

A method of displaying an operational parameter of a surgical system is disclosed. The method includes receiving, by a cloud computing system of the surgical system, first usage data, from a first subset of surgical hubs of the surgical system; receiving, by the cloud computing system, second usage data, from a second subset of surgical hubs of the surgical system; analyzing, by the cloud computing system, the first and the second usage data to correlate the first and the second usage data with surgical outcome data; determining, by the cloud computing system, based on the correlation, a recommended medical resource usage configuration; and displaying, on respective displays on the first and the second subset of surgical hubs, indications of the recommended medical resource usage configuration.

A tissue marking system includes a tissue marking beacon and a near-infrared (NIR) camera configured to detect emission of pulsatile NIR light from the tissue marking beacon. The tissue marking beacon is suitable for being injected into a tumor to mark a position and depth of the tumor for treatment. NIR light is emitted from a light-emitting diode (LED) positioned on the tissue marking beacon and is detected by the NIR camera. A pulsatile emission of NIR light from the LED is controlled to by synchronized with a data capture rate and/or detector exposure (shutter) of the NIR camera.

The control circuit is configured to receive the signal, determine a type of surgical procedure being performed, at least in part, on the received signal, determine that a baseline variable of the plurality of baseline variables corresponds to the determined type of surgical procedure, determine a procedural variable of the surgical procedure based, at least in part, on the received signal, compare the determined procedural variable to the corresponding baseline variable, and generate an alert for the operating clinician based, at least in part, on the comparison.

A load sensing assembly for a spinal implant includes a set screw having a central opening that extends from a first end of the set screw toward a second end of the set screw. The second end of the set screw is configured to engage with an anchoring member. The load sensing assembly includes an antenna, an integrated circuit in communication with the antenna, where the integrated circuit is positioned within the central opening of the set screw, and a strain gauge in connection with the integrated circuit.
