MEDICAL DEVICE, METHOD AND SYSTEM THEREOF
20230046038 · 2023-02-16 ·

Embodiments of the invention are directed towards a medical device, method and system thereof for the placement or passage of patches, sutures, anchors, tags, tissue sensors and more particularly to a medical device for repairing female pelvic organ or tissue prolapsed region. The device may be used for the placement of stereotactic markers into tissue near joints or tumors for guidance during orthopedic or neurosurgical procedures.

DEVICE

A seal comprises a first sealing member and a second sealing member. The sealing members each have an accessway to facilitate access from one side of the sealing member to the other side of the sealing member. The accessways are offset to facilitate sealed access of an object through the sealing members.

A surgical instrument, and methods for its use, is described that includes clamp heads that can be nestled within or extended from a tubular sheath by longitudinal movement of the clamp heads' tines with respect to the tubular sheath. One of the tines includes an arch that slides against a mouth and inside wall of the tubular sheath, causing the clamp heads to open or close. The clamp heads close lightly, to within a predetermined (or zero) distance from one another, gently grasp an ultrathin polymer substrate seeded with cells, and pulls it within the sheath such that the substrate curls and folds to protect the cells.

SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING DISPLACEMENT OF AN INTERVENTION DEVICE
20170303957 · 2017-10-26 ·

The invention relates to a system for controlling with respect to a body of a patient, displacement of an intervention device having an end intended to be inserted in the body of the patient through a point of penetration, comprising: A base (10) intended to be in a fixed position relative to the patient; A first portion (20) comprising an arc member (21), said first portion (20) being pivotally mounted on the base (10) around a first axis (A1), wherein said first axis (A1) is parallel to an arc plane defined by the arc member (21); A second portion (30) comprising a support member (32) and a carrier member (31), said support member (32) having a longitudinal axis and said carrier member (31) being slidably mounted on the arc member (21) for partially rotating around a second axis (A2), said second axis (A2) extending through a centre of curvature of the arc member perpendicularly to the arc plane, wherein the second axis (A2) and the first axis (A1) are perpendicular; A third portion (40) comprising a holding member (41) for releasable attachment of the intervention device, and a sliding member (42) slidably mounted on the support member (32) along a translation axis (A.sub.T) being parallel to the arc plane and corresponding to the longitudinal axis of the support member (32), the holding member (41) being arranged relative to the sliding member (42) so that translation of the sliding member (42) along the translation axis (A.sub.T) causes the intervention device to translate along a third axis (A3), and
wherein the first (A1), second (A2) and third (A3) axes are concurrent, the third axis (A3) being parallel to and offset from the translation axis (A.sub.T), said offset being made along at least a first offset direction being perpendicular to the translation axis (A.sub.T) and parallel to the arc plane, so that when the carrier member (31) is positioned halfway of the arc member (21) then the first (A1), second (A2) and third (A3) axes are orthogonal.

Attachments for use with a surgical access device

A surgical access attachment for use with a surgical access device is disclosed. The surgical access attachment includes a ring and an access portion assembly. The ring is configured to engage a proximal portion of a surgical access device. The access portion assembly includes at least one flexible tab having an engagement structure. The engagement structure is configured to selectively engage the ring. The access portion assembly is configured to retain a seal. The access portion assembly is configured to disengage from the ring in response to a predetermined amount of force exerted on one flexible tab of the at least one flexible tab.

SURGICAL ACCESS DEVICE COMPRISING INTERNAL RETRACTOR

Devices, methods, and systems provide a surgical access device comprising an internal retractor device integrated with or coupled to a body wall or wound retractor. The wound retractor retracts an opening in a body wall into a body cavity, while the internal retractor permits a user to control the positions of internal structures within the body cavity, thereby permitting a user to define a surgical field. Embodiments of the internal retractor are adjustable.
