DEVICES AND METHODS FOR ABLATION OF THE SKIN
Disclosed herein are apparatuses, systems, kits, and methods for treating skin, such as skin tightening or for treating diseases, disorders, and conditions that would benefit from tissue area or volume reduction, skin restoration, skin tightening, skin lifting, and/or skin repositioning and/or for generally improving skin function or appearance (e.g., the removal of unwanted skin features or irregularities such as sebaceous glands, sweat glands, hair follicles, necrosis, and fibrosis). Such apparatuses, systems, kits, and methods comprise an apparatus having a handheld main body and a detachably attachable tip comprising one or more needles.
ATHERECTOMY SYSTEM WITH REUSABLE PORTION AND SINGLE USE PORTION
An atherectomy system includes a drive assembly and an advancer assembly. The drive assembly, which may be reusable, includes a drive motor having an output shaft and a first coupler segment that is secured relative to the output shaft. A controller may be adapted to regulate operation of the drive motor. The advancer assembly, which may be single use, includes a flexible drive cable that is adapted to be releasably securable to the first coupler segment. The advancer assembly includes gearing that is secured within the advancer assembly and is operably coupled with the flexible drive cable. A burr catheter is coupled with and extends distally of the gearing. The advancer assembly is adapted to enable relative translation of the burr catheter in order to advance and withdraw an atherectomy burr rotatably secured to a distal end of the burr catheter.
Devices and methods for treating skin
An apparatus for treating skin has a console with a user input device and a handpiece assembly. The handpiece assembly is configured to treat skin. A fluid line provides fluid communication between the console and the handpiece assembly. A manifold system is coupled to the console and controlled by the user input device. The manifold system is configured to hold releasably a plurality of fluid sources and deliver fluid from at least one of the plurality of fluid sources to the handpiece assembly.
ENDOVASCULAR DEVICES AND METHODS FOR EXPLOITING INTRAMURAL SPACE
Devices and methods for the treatment of chronic total occlusions are provided. One disclosed embodiment comprises a method of facilitating treatment via a vascular wall defining a vascular lumen containing an occlusion therein. The method includes inserting an intramural crossing device into the vascular lumen, positioning at least the distal tip of the crossing device in the vascular wall, advancing an orienting device over the crossing device such that an orienting element of the orienting device resides in the vascular wall, inserting a reentry device, and re-entering the true vascular lumen.

There is disclosed a device having a hollow shaft configured to be inserted into a paranasal sinus through a natural opening thereof. The hollow shaft is shaped/configured to reach a treatment area within the paranasal sinus.
Fluid-filled cleaning head
A cleaning head for a personal care appliance includes an elastic bladder having a bladder wall enclosing a fluid. The bladder wall has an inner base portion with a base thickness, which may be non-uniform, and a plurality of spaced projections extending outwardly from the inner base portion. The bladder is fixedly attached to a receiver portion of a bladder support, and a retainer is provided for attaching the bladder support to the personal care appliance such that the bladder support is drivably engaged by the personal care appliance. At least some of the plurality of spaced projections are configured to dynamically engage and disengage with neighboring ones of the plurality of spaced projections during use.
SKIN TREATMENT TOOL APPLICATOR TIP
The present invention is an applicator tip for a hand piece assembly used in dermal abrasion procedures, the applicator tip having a cap shape with a plurality of apertures that form ports communicating with a fluid supply line in the hand piece assembly and a vacuum source to remove the abrading fluid. The fluid is introduced onto the outer abrading surface of the applicator tip through a first central aperture and spreads out along the outer abrading surface when the applicator tip is placed against the patient's skin. Recesses in the outer abrading surface establish pathways for the abrading fluid to move along as the applicator tip is moved over the patient's skin. The fluid emitting from the central port is moved into one of four quadrants defined by recesses in the outer abrading surface, each quadrant serving as a fluid chamber that receives fluid from the central fluid supply port. Each sector shaped chamber includes within its border a C-shaped barrier with its opening facing a dividing sector wall. As the applicator tip forms a seal with the patient's skin, fluid is introduced through the supply port and through the entrance of the chamber, filling each chamber with working fluid as the working fluid flows to and around the C-shaped barrier. Disposed inside each C-shaped barrier is a respective vacuum port that removes the working fluid from each chamber. Fluid from each chamber is vacuumed through its vacuum port after having flowed around a maze-like path, navigating the C-shaped barrier and sector walls in a vortex flow pattern.
DEVICES, SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SKIN TREATMENT
A device for treating the skin comprises a handpiece assembly having a distal end and a proximal end, a cartridge comprising an interior cavity and a tip on the distal end of the handpiece assembly. The handpiece assembly includes a fluid delivery conduit and a waste conduit. In addition, the cartridge is coupled to the handpiece assembly with the interior cavity of the cartridge being in fluid communication with the fluid delivery conduit. Further, the tip is configured to contact the skin. The tip comprises a peripheral lip, a first opening in fluid communication with the fluid delivery conduit, a second opening in fluid communication with the waste conduit and an abrasive element. The first opening, the second opening and the abrasive element of the tip are generally positioned within the peripheral lip.
ATHERECTOMY DEVICES AND METHODS
Rotational atherectomy devices and systems can remove or reduce stenotic lesions in blood vessels by rotating one or more abrasive elements within the vessel. The abrasive elements are attached to a distal portion of an elongate flexible drive shaft that extends from a handle assembly that includes a driver for rotating the drive shaft. In particular implementations, the handle assembly encapsulates an electric motor assembly, a pump assembly, and a controller assembly.
ATHERECTOMY SYSTEM ADAPTED TO ENABLE RETROGRADE ABLATION
An atherectomy system is adapted for both anterograde ablation and retrograde ablation, and includes a drive coil and an atherectomy tool coupled to the drive coil, the atherectomy tool including a distal region adapted for anterograde ablation and a proximal region adapted for retrograde ablation. A proximal handle includes an actuation member adapted to be movable in a first direction to urge the atherectomy tool in an anterograde ablation direction and to be movable in a second direction to urge the atherectomy tool in a retrograde ablation direction. The atherectomy system is adapted such that the actuation member provides a similar feedback to a user regardless of whether the atherectomy tool is ablating in the anterograde ablation direction or in the retrograde ablation direction.
