Surgical device having an integral fluid distribution system
An electrosurgical instrument can be provided that includes a pair of opposing jaws, a channel in at least one of the opposing jaws for receiving a reciprocating blade, and a fluid distribution system in communication with the one or more fluid openings located within the channel for delivering a fluid to the jaws.
NON-INVASIVE AND PERMEABLE RF DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT EQUIPMENT AND ITS CATHETER
A non-invasive and permeable RF diagnosis and treatment equipment and its catheter are provided. The catheter which comprises a tube body, a RF electrode array and a flexible protecting net has a retractable cavity, and the RF electrode array is attached to an outer surface of the retractable cavity; the flexible protecting net surrounding outside of the RF electrode array has a connector connected with the tube body and multiple holes. The retractable cavity has a smaller volume contraction state and a larger volume expansion state. Using the catheter, when inserting or pulling out the catheter, the RF electrode array will not contact the inner wall of the organ, but the flexible protecting net contacts the inner wall of the organ. In this way, the scratch of the inner wall of the organ caused by the RF electrode array can be minimized or even avoided through the flexible protecting net.
Apparatus and methods for restoring tissue
An apparatus and methods for tissue restoration are provided. The apparatus may include a catheter shaft extending from a proximal end to a distal tip, the catheter shaft defining lumens including an inflation lumen and a light fiber lumen, a coated balloon positioned on a translucent distal segment of the catheter shaft proximal to the distal tip in fluid communication with the inflation lumen, the coated distal balloon comprising a translucent material and a coated material on an outer surface of the coated balloon, and a light fiber positioned in the catheter shaft in the light fiber lumen and extending through the translucent distal segment.

MEDICAL DEVICE AND METHOD FOR ACCESSING THE PERICARDIAL SPACE
A medical device includes a guidewire extending between a proximal portion defining a proximal end and a distal portion defining a distal end. The distal portion includes a radially expandable part, and the guidewire is movable between a retracted configuration in which the part is radially retracted and an expanded configuration in which the part is radially expanded. The part is radiopaque.
Electrosurgical device
A surgical instrument has an end-effector located on the end of a rotatable shaft, the shaft projecting from a handle. A thumbwheel is provided at the proximal end of the handle, which controls the rotation of the shaft, and hence the rotational orientation of the end-effector. The end-effector is capable of grasping, cutting, and sealing and/or coagulating tissue, and one of the operations is controlled by a switch located on the upper surface of the proximal end of the handle. The switch is oriented on the handle to be generally above the thumbwheel, in a relative position to the thumbwheel so that both the thumbwheel and the switch may be activated by the user's thumb, without the user having to alter his grip on the handle. In one embodiment of the invention the switch is therefore vertically oriented above the thumbwheel.
Lubricant for a device
Various embodiments disclosed relate to a lubricant. The lubricant includes a first non-amphiphilic triglyceride. The lubricant further includes a second non-amphiphilic triglyceride. The second non-amphiphilic triglyceride is different from the first non-amphiphilic triglyceride. The lubricant further includes a non-amphiphilic glycol ester.
Electrosurgical device
An electrosurgical device for puncturing tissue comprises an electrically conductive elongate member which is capable of force transmission from a distal portion of the electrosurgical device to a proximal portion of the electrosurgical device to thereby provide tactile feedback to a user. The proximal portion comprises a connector system for connecting a source of energy and a source of fluid to an electrosurgical device . The connector system includes a hub which includes an electrically conductive lengthwise member having a lengthwise member distal region and a lengthwise member proximal region. The lengthwise member defines a hub lumen therebetween and is configured to be operatively coupled to an electrosurgical device.
INTEGRATED IMAGING ABLATION CATHETER
A described example provides an ablation catheter including an elongate tubular body having spaced apart proximal and distal ends and a lumen extending through the elongate tubular body. An ablation electrode extends from the distal end of the elongate tubular body to terminate in a distal end thereof. An elongate optical imaging probe extends through the lumen of the elongate tubular body and terminates in a distal end that is spaced a distance from the distal end of the ablation electrode. A flexible tubing extends over a length of the probe and configured to permit at least rotational movement of the probe within the flexible tubing. A distal end portion of the flexible tubing can be held at an axial position relative to the elongate tubular body to fix the distance between the distal end of the probe and the distal end of the ablation electrode.
Systems and methods for percutaneous access and formation of arteriovenous fistulas
A catheter system includes a proximal base having a distal diagonal end surface and a distal tip connected to the proximal base and movable relative to the proximal base, wherein the distal tip has a proximal diagonal end surface. The distal diagonal end surface and the proximal diagonal end surface contact opposing sides of a tissue portion to create the fistula. A peripheral edge defines the proximal distal end surface. A proximal point is disposed on the peripheral edge. The proximal point comprises a shortened angle and a fully radiused edge relative to a remaining portion of the peripheral edge and a relief recess is disposed on a distal end of the proximal base, both for the purpose of minimizing tissue snagging.
