METHOD AND DEVICE OF ADAPTIVE EMC-EMI RADIO FREQUENCY SIGNAL DATA PROCESSING
A method and a device of adaptive EMC-EMI radio frequency signal data processing are provided. The method includes: performing segmentation and preprocessing in response to a radio frequency signal; performing Hilbert-Huang transform on signals after segmentation; calculating EMC power, EMI radio frequency energy and mode, and a radio frequency signal-to-noise mode, and comparing the EMC power, the EMI radio frequency energy and mode, and the radio frequency signal-to-noise mode with corresponding thresholds; and adaptively adjusting energy parameters of a radio frequency ablation device, or prompting a user to adjust the energy parameters of the radio frequency ablation device. Instantaneous and dynamic radio frequency plasma is qualitatively and quantitatively detected and classified according to a signal-to-noise mode and pattern recognition of radio frequency emission, and an actual state of the knife head is perceived, to performs adaptive control or prompt the user to perform an adjustment operation.
Arthroscopic devices and methods
An electrosurgical probe for ablating tissue includes an elongated shaft having an axis and a distal end. An electrically insulating housing at the distal end of the shaft has a window, and an interior channel in the shaft extends through the housing to the window. The window faces laterally relative to the axis, and a moveable member with a blade-like electrode edge is disposed within the window. A motor drives the energized electrode edge axially in the window to ablate tissue.
ENERGY-BASED SURGICAL SYSTEMS AND METHODS BASED ON AN ARTIFICIAL-INTELLIGENCE LEARNING SYSTEM
The present disclosure relates to energy-based surgical procedures. In accordance with aspects of the present disclosure, a computer implemented method includes accessing an image of tissue of a patient, accessing control parameter values of a generator configured to provide energy based on control parameters, processing the image of the tissue and the control parameter values by an artificial-intelligence learning system to provide an output relating to configuration of the control parameters, providing an indication to a clinician based on the output where the indication indicates whether to maintain the control parameter values, and providing adjusted control parameter values for the generator based on the output of the artificial-intelligence learning system if the indication indicates not to maintain the control parameter values.
NON-INVASIVE UNIFORM AND NON-UNIFORM RF METHODS AND SYSTEMS
Systems and methods utilizing RF energy to treat a patient's skin (e.g., dermis and hypodermis) or other target tissue including at a depth below a tissue surface (e.g., skin surface, mucosal surfaces of the vagina or esophagus) are provided herein. In various aspects, the methods and systems described herein can provide a RF-based treatment in which the deposition of RF energy can be selectively controlled to help ensure heating uniformity during one or more of body sculpting treatment (lipolysis), skin tightening treatment (laxity improvement), cellulite treatment, vaginal laxity or rejuvenation treatment, urinary incontinence treatment, fecal incontinence treatment, all by way of non-limiting examples. In various aspects, the systems can comprise one or more sources of RF energy (e.g., a RF generator), a treatment applicator comprising one or more electrode arrays configured to be disposed in contact with a tissue surface, and a return electrode (e.g., a neutral pad) to the tissue surface.
Irreversible electroporation (IRE) based on field, contact force and time
A method includes, using a probe, applying irreversible electroporation (IRE) pulses to tissue over a time period to form a lesion in the tissue. A contact force applied to the tissue by the probe is measured over the time period. An IRE index is calculated based on the measured contact force and on a power level of the IRE pulses. Application of the IRE pulses to the tissue is ceased in response to the calculated IRE index reaching a prespecified target IRE index value.
CONTROLLED IRRIGATION FOR NEUROMODULATION SYSTEMS AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
Neuromodulation catheter systems with controlled irrigation capabilities and methods for using such systems are disclosed herein. One such method includes, for example, positioning an irrigated neuromodulation catheter at a treatment site within a renal blood vessel of a human patient, delivering neuromodulation energy at the treatment site, and delivering irrigation fluid to the treatment site having characteristics coordinated with the delivered energy. The characteristics can be adjusted to maintain an energy delivery element and/or tissue of the blood vessel at a constant temperature as power is increased. The method can further include monitoring at least one parameter of the tissue and/or of the energy delivery element, and adjusting the neuromodulation energy and/or the characteristics of the irrigation fluid if the at least one parameter falls outside of a treatment range of values.
DETERMINATION PROCESS AND PREDICTIVE CLOSED-LOOP CONTROL OF DOSIMETRY USING MEASUREMENT OF SKIN SURFACE TEMPERATURE AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
A method of treating a patient with a therapeutic laser pulse includes applying a cooling mechanism to a first skin area, cooling a target skin area within the first the skin area from a first surface temperature to a second temperature through application of the cooling mechanism prior to application of the therapeutic laser pulse, initiating application of the therapeutic laser pulse at a first timepoint, while continuing to apply the cooling mechanism, determining a surface temperature of the target skin area a plurality of times during application of the therapeutic laser pulse at a refresh rate of 25 Hz to 400 Hz, and terminating the application of the therapeutic laser pulse at a second timepoint, based on the surface temperature determinations. Each of the plurality of surface temperature determinations occurs during a single therapeutic laser pulse duration from the first time point to the second timepoint.
