METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR TREATING DIABETES AND RELATED DISEASES AND DISORDERS
Systems, devices and methods treat target tissue to provide a therapeutic benefit to the patient. A tissue treatment device comprises a tissue treatment element constructed and arranged to treat target tissue, such as duodenal mucosa and/or submucosal tissue. Patients treated can safely eliminate or reduce their daily insulin intake.
Systems and methods for treatment of prostatic tissue
A prostate therapy system is provided that may include any of a number of features. One feature of the prostate therapy system is that it can access a prostate lobe transurethrally. Another feature of the prostate therapy system is that it can deliver condensable vapor into the prostate to ablate the prostate tissue. Methods associated with use of the prostate therapy system are also covered.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS OF ELECTROSURGICAL COAGULATION DEVICES
Electrosurgical coagulation devices. At least some of the example embodiment are methods including: applying RF energy between a first electrode and a second electrode, the first and second electrodes define an interstice; flowing an electrically conductive fluid through a first nozzle and a second nozzle of the first electrode, the first nozzle defines a first spray direction, the second nozzle defines a second spray direction, and a first angle between the first spray direction and the second spray direction is 180 angular degrees or less measured through the interstice; flowing an electrically conductive fluid through a third nozzle and a fourth nozzle of the second electrode, the third nozzle defines a third spray direction, the fourth nozzle defines a fourth spray direction, and a second angle between the third spray direction and the fourth spray direction is 180 angular degrees or less measured through the interstice.
TISSUE TREATMENT SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND METHODS
Provided herein are systems for treating tissue of a patient. The system comprises an energy delivery console and at least one energy delivery device. The energy delivery console can provide a first dose of energy and a second dose of energy. An energy delivery device comprises a first delivery element configured to deliver the first dose of energy to target tissue, and a second delivery element configured to deliver the second dose of energy to the target tissue. The first dose of energy can comprise a delivery of energy that reversibly alters the target tissue, and the second dose of energy can comprise a delivery of energy that irreversibly alters the target tissue. The first dose of energy can be delivered to enhance a therapy provided by the second dose of energy.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR INTRAMYOCARDIAL INFUSION OF CONDUCTIVE NANOPARTICLES
Disclosed herein are methods to restore myocardial conduction via the injection of conductive nanoparticles into the myocardium via an endovascular injection catheter.
LARGE AREA HEMOSTASIS WITH VESSEL SEALING
Tools, systems, and methods described herein provide multiple treatments with a reduced number of tools. A single tool as described herein can be used to provide both clamping and sealing treatment modes.
Systems and methods for limiting joint temperature
Limiting joint temperature. At least some of the example embodiments are systems including an electrosurgical probe and a high frequency power supply. The electrosurgical probe may include: a shaft with a distal end, a proximal end, and lumen defined within the shaft; an active electrode disposed near the distal end; a return electrode disposed on the shaft; and a temperature sensor disposed on the shaft spaced away from the active electrode and the return electrode, the temperature sensor is electrically insulated from the electrically conductive fluid. The high frequency power supply may be coupled to the active electrode, and configured to provide an electrical energy output between the active electrode and the return electrode.
Arthroscopic devices and methods
A medical device for cutting bone and soft tissue includes a shaft having a rotating component with a distal working end. A cutting member is carried on the working end of the rotating component and a motor rotates the rotating component. The cutting member has a ceramic body with cutting edges, and the ceramic body is formed of a ceramic composite including alumina and zirconia, wherein the alumina has a grain size ranging between 0.5-1.5 microns and the zirconia has a grain size ranging between 0.1-1.0 micron. The alumina grain shape and zirconia grain shape are non-elongated.
TISSUE EXPANSION DEVICES, SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A device for expanding tissue comprises at least one fluid delivery tube and at least one fluid delivery element in fluid communication with the at least one fluid delivery tube. The at least one fluid delivery tube comprises a proximal end, a distal end, and a lumen therebetween. The device is constructed and arranged to perform a near full circumferential expansion of luminal wall tissue. Systems and methods are also provided, including a system for expanding tissue layers and treating tissue proximate to the expanded tissue layers.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR LIMITING JOINT TEMPERATURE
