20230000554 · 2023-01-05 ·

A hair cutting device of the present disclosure comprises an optical waveguide and a holding member that holds the optical waveguide. The optical waveguide comprises a light irradiator. The light irradiator irradiates hair protruding from skin with light to cut the hair. The holding member holds the optical waveguide in such a way that the light irradiator is exposed from at least one surface. As a result, even when the hair or the skin comes in contact with the light irradiator, misalignment or the like of the optical waveguide hardly occurs. This results in the improved hair cutting device being provided.

Cosmetic method and apparatus for the treatment of skin tissue using two wavelengths of laser energy

A method of treatment of skin tissue with two laser devices of unequal wavelengths comprising the steps of: (1) activating the two laser devices simultaneously to produce two laser beams of unequal wavelength; (2) directing the two laser beams into a handpiece having a distal tip to direct the laser beams onto the skin tissue; (3) directing the two laser beams within the handpiece to an adjustable beam deflector; and, (4) the adjustable beam deflector directing the two laser beams onto the skin tissue to produce a pattern of laser spots simultaneously but separated from one another.

LASER SHAVING

A device configured to cut hair using laser light includes a handle portion and a shaving portion. The handle portion includes a battery and a laser light source. The laser light source is coupled to and configured to receive power from the battery. The laser light source is also configured to generate laser light having a wavelength selected to target a predetermined chromophore to effectively cut a hair shaft. The shaving portion includes a support and a single fiber optic supported by the support. The fiber optic has a proximal end, a distal end, an outer wall, and a cutting region positioned towards the distal end and extending along a portion of the side wall. The fiber optic is positioned to receive the laser light from the laser light source at the proximal end, conduct the laser light from the proximal end toward the distal end, and emit the light out of the cutting region and toward hair when the cutting region is brought in contact with the hair.

PORTABLE DEPILATION INSTRUMENT

A portable depilation instrument includes a shell, and a depilation mechanism and a heat dissipation mechanism inside the shell. The shell is provided with at least two outlets and one inlet, the shell introduces an external cooling medium from the inlet, the heat dissipation mechanism includes a heat conductive component, the depilation mechanism includes a refrigeration element and an emitter, the heat conductive component isolates the refrigeration element from the emitter in two mutually sealed channels, namely, a first channel and a second channel, the first channel and the second channel are respectively in communication with two outlets, and one of the outlets allows the first channel or the second channel to pass through inside of the entire shell from one end to the other end. Due to complete isolation and a push force, air can be discharged only from a respective corresponding outlet after a heat exchange.

Light energy surgical system, apparatus, and method

A surgical instrument includes a light guide configured to convey light energy, a lens configured to focus the light energy into a light beam, a mounting tube, a jaw assembly coupled to the mounting tube, and a handle assembly. The jaw assembly includes a first jaw member non-movably secured to the mounting tube, a second jaw member movably secured to the mounting tube, and a window secured to the first jaw member and forming a tissue contacting surface. The window is oriented in a plane oblique to a longitudinal axis of the mounting tube and forms a liquid-tight seal between tissue and the lens. The handle assembly is coupled to the jaw assembly to move the second jaw member between an open position in which the second jaw member is spaced part from the window and a closed position.
