Surgical apparatus tray inserts and trays
An insert for a surgical apparatus tray and method of preparing a surgical apparatus tray are described. The insert may include an upper part defining at least one support configured to receive an item of surgical equipment, and defining a first plane and having a plurality of edges defining a polygonal shape. A first side wall may extend downwardly from a first edge of the upper part and define a second plane. The first side wall may have a first, male attachment feature. A second side wall may extend downwardly from a second edge of the upper part and have a second, female attachment feature. The first attachment feature may be configured to mate with the form of the female attachment feature when the first side wall is moved in a direction parallel to the first plane and the second plane to connect the insert to a further insert having a similar construction.
Packaging Systems And Methods For Mounting A Tool On A Surgical Device Using The Same
Packaging systems and surgical kits for a tool that has a working portion and a shaft. A casing includes a distal section defining a cavity to receive the working portion of the tool. A proximal section is coupled to the distal section and receives the shaft of the tool. The proximal section is detachable from the distal section. In one implementation, at least a portion of the distal section comprises a colored indicator to provide a visual indication of a location of the working portion of the tool. In another implementation, instructions are provided on the proximal section and the instructions illustrate one or more steps for installing the tool to a surgical device.

MEDICAL STERILE PACKAGING UNIT
A medical sterile packaging unit for a sterile-packaged medical product, in particular for a filter module, including a primary packaging with at least one sterile-packaged and hermetically sealed medical product inside it, at least one nestable tray, with a plurality of inserts for each of the medical products packaged in the primary packaging, and at least one sleeve which wraps around the at least one tray with the primary-packaged medical products contained in it.
Adaptable Medical Tray
Adaptable medical trays are disclosed herein. An adaptable medical tray includes a first component medical tray having a first plurality of walls, a first bottom, and a first removable top, the first plurality of walls and the first bottom arranged to form a first cavity in the first component medical tray; and a second component medical tray removably coupled to the first component medical tray, the second component medical tray including a second plurality of walls, a second bottom, and a second removable top, the second plurality of walls and the second bottom arranged to form a second cavity in the second component medical tray. The first component medical tray and the second component medical tray are constructed of a sterilizable material and the first component medical tray is decouplable from the second component medical tray after a sterilization process without removing the first removable top from the first cavity and without removing the second removable top from the second cavity.
Packaging systems and methods for mounting a tool on a surgical device using the same
Packaging systems, surgical kits and methods are disclosed for a tool including a working portion and a shank. The packaging system includes a casing with a distal section defining a cavity configured to receive the working portion, and a proximal section removably coupled to the distal section and being configured to receive the shank of the tool. A sleeve is retained by the distal section and is disposed within the cavity of the distal section. The sleeve defines a lumen adapted to receive the working portion. The sleeve is configured to rotate within the distal section to facilitate rotational installation of the tool relative to a surgical device.
CONTAINER SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FORMING A KNOB IN A CONTAINER
A container system and a method for forming a knob in a container. The container system includes a container, in particular a medical or surgical sterile container preferably having a tub-like container vessel and/or a container cover; at least one separate coupling element; and at least one coupling system for releasably connecting the coupling element to the container. The coupling system includes a male coupling portion formed on the container and a female coupling portion formed on the coupling element. The coupling portions can be coupled to and uncoupled from one another. The male coupling portion is integrally formed in a wall of the container and is designed as a protruding knob having an undercut.
Adaptable medical tray
Adaptable medical trays are disclosed herein. An adaptable medical tray includes a first component medical tray having a plurality of walls, a bottom, and a removable top, the plurality of walls and the bottom arranged to form a cavity in the first component medical tray; and a second component medical tray removably coupled to the first component medical tray, the second component medical tray including a plurality of walls, a bottom, and a removable top, the plurality of walls and the bottom arranged to form a cavity in the second component medical tray. The first component medical tray and the second component medical tray are constructed of a sterilizable material and the first component medical tray is decouplable from the second component medical tray after a sterilization process without removing the removable tops from the cavities.
