Multichannel reflective optical medical sensor device

Embodiments herein relate to reflective optical medical sensor devices. In an embodiment, a reflective optical medical sensor device including a central optical detector and a plurality of light emitter units disposed around the central optical detector is provided. A plurality of peripheral optical detectors can be disposed to the outside of the plurality of light emitter units. Each of the plurality of peripheral optical detectors can form a channel pair with one of the plurality of light emitter units. The reflective optical medical sensor device can also include a controller in electrical communication with the central optical detector, the light emitter units, and the peripheral optical detectors. The controller can be configured to measure performance of channel pairs; select a particular channel pair; and measure a physiological parameter using the selected channel pair. Other embodiments are also included herein.

The present disclosure presents glucose sensing methods and systems. One such system comprises an electrospun-nanofibrous-membrane (ENFM)-based amperometric glucose sensor integrated on a silicon chip, in which the glucose sensor has a working electrode, a reference electrode, and a counter electrode, wherein the working electrode comprises an ENFM-based sensing electrode. The system further comprises a potentiostat circuit integrated on the silicon chip such that the potentiostat circuit comprises a voltage control unit to control a voltage difference between the working electrode and the reference electrode and a transimpedance amplifier to measure a current flow between the working electrode and the counter electrode, in which a strength of the current flow corresponds to an amount of glucose present in a sample of blood on the glucose sensor.

The external adjustment device may further comprise a power source and a display. According to one exemplary embodiment, the external adjustment device comprises a magnetic element configured to generate a rotating magnetic field; and a driver configured to drive the magnetic element to generate the rotating magnetic field and configured to rotate a permanent magnet of an adjustable implant, wherein upon placing the external adjustment device in proximity to an adjustable implant having a permanent magnet the magnetic element is configured to magnetically couple with the permanent magnet, and wherein the external adjustment device is configured to non-invasively determine one or more of a magnetic coupling state and a stalled state of the magnetic element and the permanent magnet disposed within the adjustable implant.

A processor processes the modulated reflected signals at one or more of the surface locations to determine marker locations along the needle and generate a three-dimensional model of the body region and needle.

Embodiments herein relate to systems, devices and methods for managing pharmacological therapeutics and aspects of the same. In an embodiment, a hearing assistance device can include a control circuit, an electroacoustic transducer for generating sound in electrical communication with the control circuit, a power supply circuit in electrical communication with the control circuit, and a sensor package in electrical communication with the control circuit. The control circuit can be configured to evaluate a signal from at least one of the sensors of the sensor package to detect administration of a therapy or receive data indicating that administration of a therapy has taken place. The control circuit can also be configured to record an instance of a detected medication administration event along with a timestamp. Other embodiments are also included herein.

The program instructions define instructions to continuously sample the electrocardiographic signals into the non-volatile memory device and to offload the non-volatile memory device to the external data device. A receiving coil and a charging circuit are operable to charge an onboard power source for the microcontroller circuit.
