A wearable device for monitoring physical activity of a user, the wearable device being reversibly attachable to a chest strap and an arm strap. The wearable device comprises an ECG sensor arranged to collect ECG measurements of the user only when the wearable device is attached to the user's chest by the chest strap, and a PPG sensor arranged to collect PPG measurements of the user when the wearable device is attached to the user's arm or wrist by the arm strap. The wearable device also comprises control circuitry arranged to switch the wearable device between an ECG only mode and a PPG only mode. In the ECG only mode, the control circuitry is configured to control the ECG sensor to collect ECG measurements but prevent the PPG sensor from initiating PPG measurements. In the PPG only mode, the control circuitry is configured to control the PPG sensor to initiate PPG measurements but prevent the ECG sensor from collecting ECG measurements.

An electrocardiography device is described that can include a main body, an adjustable cap, and a power switch. The main body can include an electrode of a plurality of electrodes configured to acquire electrical signal from a patient. The adjustable cap can include two electrodes of the plurality of electrodes. The adjustable cap can be rotatable around an axis on the main body to orient the plurality of electrodes on different locations on a body of the patient. The power switch can activate the plurality of electrodes to acquire the electrical signal from the patient. Related apparatuses, systems, methods, techniques and articles are also described.

Personal impact monitoring system

A personal impact monitoring system is described herein comprising a monitoring station that receives impact events sent from personal impact monitors using a monitoring station receiver. The impact events which specify impact parameters associated with the impact events are stored in a data storage location associated with the monitoring station. Software operating on the operating station is configured to receive the impact events from the data storage location and to perform calculations based on the impact events to identify notable impact events.

Non-invasive nerve stimulation with mobile device

Devices, systems and methods for treating various disorders and medical conditions through noninvasive stimulation of a nerve. A system comprises a stimulator including an electrode configured to contact an outer skin surface of a patient and an energy source coupled to the housing, The energy source generates an electrical impulse and the stimulator transmits the electrical impulse from the electrode transcutaneously through an outer skin surface of the patient to a selected nerve within the patient. The system further includes an application on a mobile device that receives data from a remote source. The mobile device couples to the stimulator and the application causes the mobile device to transmit the data to the stimulator.

SUBJECT MONITORING

A monitoring system for monitoring a biological subject including a monitoring device having a housing configured to be attached to or supported by an ear of the subject in use, one or more sensors, the one or more sensors including a photoplethysmogram (PPG) sensor provided in the housing and configured to measure attributes of blood flow within the ear, and a monitoring device processor configured to acquire sensors signals from the one or more sensors and generate sensor data at least partially in accordance with signals from the one or more sensors. A transmitter is provided that transmit the sensor data with one or more processing systems receiving the sensor data, analyzing the sensor data and generating a health state indicator indicative of a health state of the subject.
