A wireless, patient-worn, physiological sensor configured to, among other things, help manage a patient that is at risk of forming one or more pressure ulcers is disclosed. According to an embodiment, the sensor includes a base having a top surface and a bottom surface. The sensor also includes a substrate layer including conductive tracks and connection pads, a top side, and a bottom side, where the bottom side of the substrate layer is disposed above the top side of the base. Mounted on the substrate layer are a processor, a data storage device, a wireless transceiver, an accelerometer, and a battery. In use, the sensor senses a patient's motion and wirelessly transmits information indicative of the sensed motion to, for example, a patient monitor. The patient monitor receives, stores, and processes the transmitted information.
PORTABLE, FIXED EXTERNAL FIELD NAGNETOMETER FOR THE DETECTION OF MAGNETIC SIGNALS FROM SAMPLES AND THE ASSESSMENT OF THE AMOUNT OF MAGNETIC MATERIAL IN THE SAMPLE
The present invention relates to a magnetometric device that measures the magnetic properties of a sample and whose most notable characteristic lies in that it is portable and highly precise, and can be used for the detection of a magnetic signal from nanostructures exposed to a fixed external magnetic field of excitation, of a unique value, it not being possible to alter the external magnetic field. The fixed external field can only be altered by modifying the device by means of exchanging the permanent magnets; however, once the device is sealed, this field does not vary. Different quantities of the same magnetic material may be placed in the sample holder, increasing the measurement signal; the present device can therefore determine the magnetic mass being measured following calibration of the magnetic material employed.
Non-interdependent displacement measuring device for converting rotary motion to linear motion
A non-interdependent displacement measuring device for converting a rotary motion to a linear motion is disclosed, which includes a driving unit, a detection unit, and a resistance device. The driving unit includes an adjustment section and a driving section. The detection unit is arranged in the adjustment section. The driving section is connected to the resistance device. The detection unit includes a sensing module and a transmission module, and the detection unit is arranged in the adjustment section, so that when the adjustment section rotates, the detection unit detects turns and an angle of rotation of the adjustment section to generate a detection signal, which, after being subjected to calculation, is transmitted through the transmission module to the electronic device to display the level of an resistance, so as to overcome the drawbacks of the prior art that accuracy is poor, calibration is difficult, and fabrication is difficult due to a magnet and a sensor being arranged as two separate parts.
PATIENT MONITORING DEVICE WITH IMPROVED USER INTERFACE
A system for monitoring a patient's orientation to reduce a risk of the patient developing a pressure ulcer can include one or more hardware processors that can receive and process data from a sensor to determine the patient's orientation. The one or more hardware processors can maintain a plurality of timers associated with available orientations of the patient. The one or more hardware processors can modify a value of the plurality of timers based on an amount of time the patient is oriented in the plurality of orientations. The one or more hardware processors can generate an interactive graphical user interface on the display screen. The user interface can include a graphic for illustrating an orientation history of the patient. The one or more hardware processors can modify an appearance of the graphic based upon the values the plurality of timers.
