A system (1) for treating and monitoring the condition of an eye (6) includes a light source, preferably a non-lasing LED (2), for irradiating the eye at a wavelength sufficient to reverse eye damage. The system also includes an excitation light source, preferably a non-lasing LED (4), for exciting fluorescence in the eye and a detector (22) for detecting fluorescence stimulated by the excitation LED (4). The system may also include a second non-lasing light source, preferably a non-lasing LED, for irradiating the eye; and a detector for detecting scatter of light from the eye. Methods for monitoring, diagnosis and treatment of eye conditions such as cataracts are also provided.

A SYSTEM AND A METHOD FOR ALERTING ON VISION IMPAIRMENT
20220189010 · 2022-06-16 ·

The present invention discloses a technique for alerting on vision impairment. The system comprises a processing unit configured and operable for receiving scene data being indicative of a scene of at least one consumer in an environment, identifying in the scene data a certain consumer, identifying an event being indicative of a behavioral compensation for vision impairment, and, upon identification of such an event, sending a notification relating to the vision impairment.

Multi-modal eye imaging with shared optical path

Aspects of the present disclosure provide improved techniques for imaging a subject's retina fundus. Some aspects relate to an imaging apparatus that may be substantially binocular shaped and/or may house multiple imaging devices configured to provide multiple corresponding modes of imaging the subject's retina fundus. Some aspects relate to techniques for imaging a subject's eye using white light, fluorescence, infrared (IR), optical coherence tomography (OCT), and/or other imaging modalities that may be employed by a single imaging apparatus. Some aspects relate to improvements in white light, fluorescence, IR, OCT, and/or other imaging technologies that may be employed alone or in combination with other techniques. Some aspects relate to multi-modal imaging techniques that enable determination of a subject's health status. Imaging apparatuses and techniques described herein provide medical grade retina fundus images and may be produced or conducted at low cost, thus increasing access to medical grade imaging.

Diagnosis assistance system and control method thereof

The present invention relates to a diagnosis assistance system for assisting diagnosis for a plurality of diseases based on a fundus image, the diagnosis assistance system including: a fundus image obtaining unit configured to obtain a fundus image; a first processing unit configured to, for the fundus image, obtain a first result related to a first finding of a patient using a first neural network model, a second processing unit configured to, for the fundus image, obtain a second result related to a second finding of the patient using a second neural network model, a third processing unit configured to determine, on the basis of the first result and the second result, diagnostic information on the patient, and a diagnostic information output unit configured to provide the determined diagnostic information to a user.

METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR SCREENING FOR MALADIES BY RETINAL SCAN
20220104703 · 2022-04-07 ·

The present disclosure provides for an ophthalmic testing system that may prescreen for ophthalmic diseases and systemic diseases. In some embodiments, an OTS may provide general screening results and relatives scores to patients that may be at risk for diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, or Alzheimer's. In some implementations, the OTS may offer self-screening features without collecting personal information that may identify the individual. In some embodiments, the OTS may use artificial intelligence and machine learning and machine learning to provide accurate and instant analysis and results to a user.

PORTABLE SCREENING DEVICES AND SYSTEMS FOR REMOTE OPTHALMIC DIAGNOSTICS

A device provides remote ophthalmic examinations and includes one, plural or all of the following capabilities: slit lamp examinations, visual acuity examinations, fundoscopy, and eye pressure assessment. Preferred devices enable a patient to self-align or adjust device themselves without the help of a professional, collect and store data and can transmit data when a connection is available to a professional or an analysis system, such as a machine learning system, for evaluation.

CRYSTALLINE LENS DATA OBTAINING METHOD, OPHTHALMOLOGIC DEVICE, AND STORAGE MEDIUM

Provided are a method, a device, or a storage medium having a program stored therein for easily determining a crystalline lens nucleus state.

A gray scale anterior segment image taken by optical coherence tomography is obtained, and posterization of the anterior segment image is performed to obtain tone-changed images having 3 tones, 4 tones, and 5 tones. One, of a plurality of predetermined grades, corresponding to the crystalline lens nucleus state is determined based on a combination of states of observed images of the crystalline lens nucleus in the tone-changed images. The grades are set for classification according to whether or not an image of a crystalline lens nucleus is observed, whether the observed image is spot-shaped or band-shaped, or whether or not the entire image of the crystalline lens nucleus is observed.
