Blood pressure monitor attachment assembly
A blood pressure monitor configured to removably mount to a cuff in a substantially symmetrical position with respect to a width of the cuff can include a housing defining an interior, a first port, and a second port. The first port can: secure to a first prong of the cuff when the cuff is mounted in a first orientation; receive and secure to a second prong of the cuff when the cuff is mounted in a second orientation; and enable fluid communication between the interior and at least one of a first fluid passage within the first prong and a second fluid passage within the second prong. The second port can: secure to the second prong of the cuff when the cuff is mounted in the first orientation; and receive and secure to the first prong of the cuff when the cuff is mounted in the second orientation.
NONINVASIVE BLOOD PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A method of measuring noninvasive blood pressure includes determining a window for pulse detection for a patient, receiving a pressure signal measured from a measure sensor in a blood pressure cuff, and setting a pulse detection period for each heart beat based on the window and a heart beat indicator indicating at least one heart beat time for the patient. The pressure signal is then examined within each pulse detection period to identify a pressure peak therein. A blood pressure for the patient is determined based on the pressure peaks detected in the pressure signal.

LIQUID COUPLED BLOOD PRESSURE SENSOR
A wearable blood pressure meter includes a semi-conformable bladder, serving as a reservoir for an incompressible fluid, and a pressure sensor. The semi-conformable bladder includes a rigid housing defining a cavity within which the incompressible fluid is rigidly constrained and an elastic membrane for elastically constraining the incompressible fluid. The elastic membrane extends across an aperture into the cavity through the rigid housing. The elastic membrane conforms to a body part at the aperture when pressed against the body part. The pressure sensor mechanically couples to the incompressible fluid to measure pressure signals emanating from an artery within the body part and which propagate through the conformable membrane and the incompressible fluid to the pressure sensor.

Systems and Methods For Monitoring a Patient
A system for monitoring a patient includes an inflatable cuff configured to at least partially occlude an artery of the patient, and a sensor configured to determine a first parameter associated with the at least partially occluded artery and to generate an output signal indicative of the first parameter. The system also includes a processor configured to receive the output signal and information indicative of an occlusion efficiency of the cuff. The processor is configured to determine a hemodynamic parameter of the patient based on the output signal and the information.

Blood pressure measuring apparatus
A blood pressure measuring apparatus for measuring a blood pressure of a subject using a cuff attached to the subject is equipped with an inflating mechanism—configured to increase an inner pressure of the cuff, a processor and a memory—configured to store instructions that is readable by the processor. As the instructions are executed by the processor, the blood pressure measuring apparatus-acquires a pulse rate of the subject while causing the inflating mechanism to increase the inner pressure of the cuff at a prescribed inflation speed, and compares the pulse rate as acquired to a prescribed pulse rate. The blood pressure measuring apparatus causes the inflating mechanism to increase the inner pressure of the cuff at an inflation speed that is lower than the prescribed inflation speed if the pulse rate as acquired is less than the prescribed pulse rate.
