20210369117 · 2021-12-02 ·

Particular embodiments described herein provide for an apparatus to determine biometric data of a user including: a processing circuit configured to: generate a control signal relating to a control value for controlling a wavelength of emitted light of a light source; receive biometric input data based on reflected light from the skin of the user caused by the light of the wavelength emitted by the light source; and determine biometric data of the user based on the biometric input data; and an output interface configured to provide the biometric data of the user.

Cumulative biosensor system to detect alcohol

A wearable device may be provided for detecting cumulative alcohol consumption. Such a wearable device may include an adhesive layer that adheres to skin and that allows sweat from the skin to pass through and a customizable ink layer that reacts irreversibly to change color along a gradient as ethanol is detected in the sweat. The customizable ink continues to increase color intensity along the gradient as ethanol continues to be detected in the sweat over time.

MEASURING AND MONITORING SKIN FEATURE COLORS, FORM AND SIZE

Kits, diagnostic systems and methods are provided, which measure the distribution of colors of skin features by comparison to calibrated colors which are co-imaged with the skin feature. The colors on the calibration template (calibrator) are selected to represent the expected range of feature colors under various illumination and capturing conditions. The calibrator may also comprise features with different forms and size for calibrating geometric parameters of the skin features in the captured images. Measurements may be enhanced by monitoring over time changes in the distribution of colors, by measuring two and three dimensional geometrical parameters of the skin feature and by associating the data with medical diagnostic parameters. Thus, simple means for skin diagnosis and monitoring are provided which simplify and improve current dermatologic diagnostic procedures.

Home testing data automatically changes insurance status

A method of updating the status of an insurance customer includes identifying a plurality of individuals with a first insurance status and delivering home testing kits to the plurality of individuals. Upon completion of the home testing kits, medical image information is received from a mobile communications device and processed to determine a state of a medical analysis region. Individuals with medical analysis regions in a differing state of criticality are identified. Healthcare providers may be provided with information indicating that there is a likelihood that the identified individuals are entitled to a second insurance status.

Wearable fluidic system for measuring sweat composition

A sweat sensing device includes a flexible body having a first, outwardly facing surface and a second, skin facing surface and a sweat channel formed in the body, the sweat channel having a first end defining a fluid inlet and a second end. A biochemical assay well formed in the sweat channel and an assay material is disposed in the biochemical assay well, the assay material positioned to react with sweat traveling through the sweat channel and to provide one of a visual indicator and an indicator detectable by a camera and connected processor of the flow of the sweat in the sweat channel.
