MEASURING AND MONITORING SKIN FEATURE COLORS, FORM AND SIZE

Kits, diagnostic systems and methods are provided, which measure the distribution of colors of skin features by comparison to calibrated colors which are co-imaged with the skin feature. The colors on the calibration template (calibrator) are selected to represent the expected range of feature colors under various illumination and capturing conditions. The calibrator may also comprise features with different forms and size for calibrating geometric parameters of the skin features in the captured images. Measurements may be enhanced by monitoring over time changes in the distribution of colors, by measuring two and three dimensional geometrical parameters of the skin feature and by associating the data with medical diagnostic parameters. Thus, simple means for skin diagnosis and monitoring are provided which simplify and improve current dermatologic diagnostic procedures.

IMAGE DISPLAY SYSTEM AND IMAGE DISPLAY METHOD

An object of the invention is to provide an image display system and the like useful for a remote diagnosis and treatment using color information such as a skin color and a tongue color of a patient. There is provided an image display system including: a color chart including a plurality of patches that include at least three patches selected from a group consisting of first to seventh patches having specific colors; an imaging device configured to simultaneously image the color chart and a person to be imaged and acquire image data; and a display device configured to receive the image data and display the image data as an image on a display unit.

A urine color and concentration assessment system includes a housing, a color chart supported by the housing, and a urine collection container supported by the housing and positioned adjacent the color chart. The urine collection container configured to receive a urine sample for comparing a color of the urine sample to a color of the color chart.

NON-INVASIVE WEARABLE SENSOR DEVICE FOR DETECTING BIOMARKERS IN SECRETION

A non-invasive wearable sensor device for detecting biomarkers in secretion according to this invention comprises a colorimetric sensor (1), an electrochemical sensor (2), an electrochemical detector and processor (3) and a housing (4). The housing (4) is formed such that allows the colorimetric sensor (1) and electrochemical sensor (2) to contact with the secretion directly and continuously during wearing of the sensor device. This sensor device provides high performance of secretion absorption and retention, leading to high sensitivity to detection of biomarkers using a trace level of secretion sample. This sensor device is developed for detecting biomarkers based on two techniques: the colorimetric sensor (1) which allows the user to interpret a result by comparing it with a standard col or chart, and the electrochemical sensor (2) which provides a digital readout result. This sensor device can be used or simultaneous detection of several biomarkers in the same secretion sample.

Systems and methods for tracking healing progress of multiple adjacent wounds are provided. In one embodiment, a system may include a processor configured to receive a first image of a plurality of adjacent wounds near a form of colorized surface having colored reference elements, determine colors of the plurality of wounds, correct for local illumination conditions, receive a second image of the plurality of wounds near the form of colorized surface, to determine second colors of the plurality of wounds in the second image, match each of the plurality of wounds in the second image to a wound of the plurality of wounds in the first image, and determine an indicator of the healing progress for each of the plurality of wounds based on changes between the first image and the second image.

Uniquely coded color boards for analyzing images

Systems and methods for a color board for use in reagent strip testing are disclosed. One implementation may include a color board surface, a first colored reference element printed on the color board surface, and a second colored reference element printed on the color board surface. The color board may also include a test region on the color board surface configured to receive at least one reagent pad. The color board may also include a unique code, and the code may reflect specific chromatic properties associated with each of the first colored reference element and the second color reference element at a time of printing. The unique code may be machine readable to enable a machine to later normalize a comparison color, for determining chromatic properties of the at least one reagent pad.

CAPNOSCOPE ASSEMBLY, AND A METHOD IN RELATION TO THE CAPNOSCOPE ASSEMBLY
20220233098 · 2022-07-28 ·

A capnoscope assembly for measuring carbon dioxide (CO2) concentration, and an associated method. The assembly includes a detection unit, an indicator holder, a processing unit, and a calibration member. The processing unit adjusts light parameters such that a camera detects a predetermined calibration colour. A colorimetric indicator is arranged to be used in the indicator holder. The colour of the colorimetric indicator surface is measured when illuminated by emitted light being generated by using determined calibrated control signal values, when no CO2 is present. The measured colour is stored as a zero CO2 colour value. A CO2 concentration relationship is determined based upon the measured zero CO2 colour value. The processing unit applies the CO2 concentration relationship during CO2 concentration measurements provided that the determined calibrated control signal values are applied when emitting light.
