BLOOD SAMPLING DEVICES
Improvements in and relating to blood sampling devices A blood sampling device includes a housing and a lancet supporting a lancet needle or tip, the lancet and needle being urged or urgeable in a pricking direction. A trigger mechanism is moveable to a fire position for releasing the lancet to travel in the pricking direction. A removable safety cap initially covers the lancet needle. The lancet has an initial position in which movement of the trigger mechanism to its fire position is blocked and an intermediate position in which the trigger mechanism may be moved to its fire position. The intermediate position is obtainable only on removal of the safety cap.

Safety assembly
The invention relates to a safety assembly for preventing needle stick injury with a needle having a proximal end fixed to a tip of a medical container and a pointed distal end, the safety assembly having: an attachment ring fixed to the tip of the container and a safety device to cover at least the distal end of the needle, the safety device attached to the attachment ring. The safety assembly has an attachment ring having an inner ring and an outer ring to be snapped onto each other, the inner ring having an inner recess for applying glue between the inner ring and the tip, and the inner ring and outer ring having mutually engaging elements preventing any rotation of the outer ring relative to the inner ring.
CATHETER EXTENSION SET AND RELATED METHODS
A catheter extension set may include a distal end, which may include a luer adapter configured to couple to a catheter adapter. The catheter extension may also include a proximal end, which may include a blood collection device. The blood collection device may include a needle configured to receive a blood collection container. The catheter extension may include one or more extension tubes extending between the distal end and the proximal end. The catheter extension set may increase flow resistance, which may reduce a risk of hemolysis when there is a high-pressure differential within the catheter extension set. After a pressure differential within the catheter extension set is lowered, the catheter extension set may decrease flow resistance, which may facilitate more rapid blood collection.
LANCING DEVICE FOR INFANT WITH A SAFELY ROTATING AND UNLOCKING PUSH-SHOOTING KEY
A lancing device for infant with safety rotating and unlocking push-shooting button is provided. The push-shooting button is exposed and occupies two position attitudes. A first attitude is an insurance lock-out state that the push-shooting button is locked to avoid an undesired trigger before actuation, and a second attitude is a state that leaves away from the first one attitude where the push-shooting button is readily loaded to be launched. Under the insurance lock-out state, the push-shooting button is locked and moves only by a rotation. Firstly, the button is rotated and loaded to a to-be-launch state. Then, the button is pressed inwards and an edge lancing mechanism is actuated with a blade projecting from a lancing opening of the shell to cut and retract back into the shell. The whole blood collecting procedure is finished.

Blood sampling device and blood bag system
A blood sampling device (10) configuring a blood bag system (12) includes: a hollow needle (80) that can penetrate through a rubber plug (202) of a blood sampling tube (200) inserted into a blood sampling holder (78); a hub (76) that includes a needle supporting unit (90) for supporting a base end side of the hollow needle (80) and to which the blood sampling holder (78) is rotatably attached; a needle cover (82) made of rubber that is externally fitted to the needle supporting unit (90) while covering a tip side of the hollow needle (80); and a cap (84) arranged on the needle supporting unit (90) in such a manner that the cap (84) can come into contact with the needle cover (82) and is independent of the blood sampling holder (78).
Apparatus comprising a lancet
An apparatus comprises a housing, a testing member rotatably mounted in the housing, a lancet protruding from an edge of the testing member and having a piercing end, and a cover configured to cover at least the piercing end of the lancet and to be displaced from the piercing end of the lancet during actuation of the testing member.
