A Standalone Safety Device For a Needle of a Medical Device
A standalone safety device for a needle of a medical device A safety device for a needle of a medical device, the safety device including: a ring fixed with regard to the needle, a shield mounted on the ring by a pivot link, a protective cap covering at least partially the needle in an initial configuration, a translation locking unit adapted to prevent a translation movement of the protective cap, and a rotation locking unit adapted to prevent a rotation movement of the shield with regard to the ring. The translation locking unit is configured to be disengaged by the application of a predetermined translation force on the protective cap. The rotation locking unit is configured to be disengaged during a portion of the translation movement of the protective cap with regard to the shield.
Blood collection assembly
The present disclosure is a blood collection assembly that has a needle assembly fixedly coupled to a finger-activated actuator and tubing and the needle assembly has a needle. Further, the blood collection assembly has a hub that houses the needle assembly and the hub has a channel in a top surface of the hub. Additionally, the channel slidably engages the finger-activated actuator such that when the finger-activated actuator is moved from a distal end of the hub to a proximal end of the hub the needle retracts within the hub.
DEVICE FOR WITHDRAWAL AND PROCESSING OF A SAMPLE
A device (100) having a proximal end (20) and end a distal end (40) for withdrawal of a liquid sample, fractionation, and separation of one or more fractions comprising: a piston assembly (300) comprising a piston (302) dismountably attached at its proximal end (20) to an actuating rod (350); a container (200) having a body (202) disposed with a cylindrical chamber (204) for slidable movement of the piston (302) therein; wherein the cylindrical chamber (204) is provided at the distal end (40) with a resealable septum (410) for co-operation with a puncture needle assembly (600) for withdrawal of the liquid sample, an at the proximal end (20) with a stop member (206), which stop member (206) limits movement of the piston (300) in a proximal direction, wherein the container body (202) is dimensioned to fit inside a centrifuge rotor, and is configured for breakability into two parts at a temperature of 0 deg C. or lower at a breakable zone (210).
BLOOD COLLECTABLE PERIPHERAL INTRAVENOUS CATHETER ASSEMBLIES AND RELATED METHODS
Peripheral intravenous catheter assemblies with capabilities for both blood sampling and catheterization can have a blood collection holder with a needle hub attached to a catheter hub. The combination catheter assembly and blood sampling holder can be called a catheter and holder assembly. Blood sampling can be done directly through the needle and the blood collection holder after cannulation. After blood sampling, the blood collection holder and the needle can be removed, leaving the catheter hub with the patient for IV infusion. The catheter hub can be a straight catheter hub or can include a side fluid port for use in as an integrated IVC.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR RECEIVING FLUIDS
The present disclosure generally relates to receiving bodily fluid through a device opening. In one aspect, the device includes an interface that facilitates piercing of skin and/or withdrawal of fluid from the skin. The skin may be subjected to vacuum from a vacuum source.
DRUG ADMINISTRATION DEVICE
A device which, in a shallow region including the epidermal layer or the dermal layer, can administer a target even in extremely small amounts. This includes a puncture needle which, in a flat puncture unit for puncturing the shallow region, has a groove and a through-hole which constitute a recess that extends through part of or the entire thickness of the puncture unit; and a casing which houses the puncture needle so as to allow the puncture needle to advance. By part or all of a flow agent containing the drug being arranged in the groove and the through-hole, the drug is positioned with respect to the puncture unit. The device is designed such that a flow agent in the amount of 10-1000 nL is dosed in the shallow region per puncture.
Devices, systems and methods for actuation and retraction in fluid collection
The disclosed apparatus, systems and methods relate to devices, systems and methods for the collection of bodily fluids involving a single-use actuation and retraction mechanism disposed within a collector.
SKIN PRICKING DEVICE
A skin pricking device includes a housing having an opening formed in a proximal end thereof; a spring mounted lancet including a needle within a casing having body and cap parts, interconnected by a separable coupling. The cap part has a cap projecting through the opening allow a user to grip and remove the cap. The device further includes a trigger for firing the lancet. Turning the cap part moves the entire lancet, engaging a trigger stop surface on the distal body part of the lancet with a trigger catch and further biasing the trigger to block the lancet. Further turning of the cap part over a second angle relative to the housing causes the cap part to move in a proximal direction by a further, second distance, thereby axially separating the cap part from the body part, whereby the cap part can then be removed from the device.
Blood lancet device
A blood lancet device comprising a housing having one end formed as an opening; a sliding sleeve having one end extending from the opening to the outside of the housing; a blood lancet including a needle body and a needle tip arranged at one end of the needle body, the sliding sleeve being bushed at the outside of the housing, said blood lancet adapted to move relative to the sliding sleeve so as to expose the needle tip at the opening; and a biasing member having one end securely fixed with another end of needle body.
