Bladder health monitoring systems and related methods and devices

The various embodiments disclosed here relate to systems, methods, and devices for monitoring bladder health. Certain implementations are directed to patients who require daily catheterization. The various embodiments have at least one tube coupled to a catheter, a pressure sensor, a pump, and a processor. Certain embodiments include a digital device with a software application capable of displaying the monitored readings.

Incontinence detection method

An incontinence detection pad has an RFID tag in which an authentication code, such as an electronic product code (EPC), is stored. A reader in wireless communication with the RFID tag of the incontinence detection pad verifies that the incontinence detection pad is an authorized detection pad. Thus, unauthorized incontinence detection pads that do not have the proper authentication code are not able to be used in an incontinence detection system.

Devices, systems, and methods for diagnosis and treatment of overactive bladder

A system for modulating bladder function is disclosed. A system for evaluating the electrophysiological function of a bladder is disclosed. Methods for performing a controlled surgical procedure on a bladder are disclosed. A system for performing controlled surgical procedures in a minimally invasive manner is disclosed. An implantable device for monitoring and/or performing a neuromodulation procedure on a bladder is disclosed.

Device for photodynamic treatment

A catheter device for use in the photodynamic treatment of a body cavity or hollow organ of the body, such as the bladder, the device being used in the photodynamic treatment of abnormalities, disorders or diseases of the internal surfaces of said body cavity or hollow organ.

Method for Selective Modulation

In some examples, a device includes a catheter insert elongated body defining a body lumen, the catheter insert elongated body being configured to be at least partially inserted to a catheter lumen defined by a catheter without covering a first fluid opening of the catheter and to form a fluidically tight coupling with the catheter, and one or more sensors positioned on the elongated body. At least one of the one or more sensors are configured to sense a substance of interest. The catheter insert elongated body includes a material that is a substantially non-permeable to the substance of interest.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DETECTION AND VALIDATION OF NOCTURIA IN A PERSON

Nocturia has been defined as the need for an individual to wake up one or more times during the night to void. Further, Nocturia detection also requires analysis of sleeping pattern of the person. In such cases a lot of assumptions are made when the person is not in bedroom during nights. A method and system for detection and validation of Nocturia in the person has been provided. The system is utilizing a statistical based analysis, a rule based analysis, a machine learning based analysis and analysis of sleeping pattern of the person to detect and validate Nocturia. The system ensures that the person is not disturbed in his/her daily activities. Further, the processes deployed in the system are completely un-supervisory in nature meaning it does not have the dependency of needing to have trained machine learning dataset.

The present disclosure relates to a portable uroflowmetry apparatus, and uroflowmetry, voiding diary writing system and uroflowmetry method using the same.

Biomimetic artificial bladder

Provided is an artificial bladder including: a main body which includes an inlet port, an outlet port, and a predetermined reservoir portion configured to store urine between the inlet port and the outlet port and is formed of a biocompatible polymer that is expandable so that a volume of the reservoir portion changes according to the amount of urine; a sensor which is attached to an outer wall of the main body, has a surface having a wrinkled structure, and is provided so that, when the volume of the reservoir portion increases, the wrinkled structure stretches out and resistance of the sensor changes; and an actuator which is provided at the outlet port and is configured to discharge the urine according a result detected by the sensor.

Incontinence care system and method therefor

A system and a method of detecting a voiding event of a care-receiver uses a temperature sensor for measuring temperatures in real-time at a location adjacent a lower portion of the care-receiver's torso where the voiding event is to occur. The system and method then determines the voiding event based on the measured temperatures.
