Apparatus, systems and methods for sensing bladder fullness
Embodiments of the invention provide devices and systems to monitor fullness of a patient's bladder. One embodiment of a bladder fullness (BF) measure system comprises a sensor device (SD) and a controller. The SD generates an output signal (OS) based on the force exerted by the bladder against SD the wherein the OS corresponds to a degree of BF. The SD may be attached to the bladder wall or adjoining tissue and positioned between the bladder and the pubic bone such that the SD is not affected by tissues force other than that from the bladder. The controller connects to the SD and causes an associated implant to perform a function when the SD output signal exceeds a predetermined threshold. Embodiments are particularly useful for providing information on BF to patients suffering from spinal injury or other conditions whereby they have lost the ability to sense BF and/or voluntarily urinate.
Bladder health monitoring systems and related methods and devices
The various embodiments disclosed here relate to systems, methods, and devices for monitoring bladder health. Certain implementations are directed to patients who require daily catheterization. The various embodiments have at least one tube coupled to a catheter, a pressure sensor, a pump, and a processor. Certain embodiments include a digital device with a software application capable of displaying the monitored readings.
Systems and Methods for Ultrasonically Monitoring Urine Output
Disclosed herein is a system for monitoring urine output of a patient. The system includes a collection canister coupled with a display module, the canister having a volume sensor to measure urine output, the measurement may be displayed or transmitted over a network. The system links an identification of the canister to an identification of the patient. A drainage tube is pre-coupled with the canister, and optionally, with the catheter, to define a closed system enclosed in a sterile preconnected tray. The volume sensor includes an ultrasonic sensor configured to detect a distance between the urine level and the top of the canister which is converted into a volume of urine within the canister. The display module is coupled with canister. The canister and the display module each include a console that includes logic stored in memory that, when executed by one or more processors, causes performance of operations.
DIAPERS WITH URINE DETECTION FUNCTIONALITY AND METHODS FOR DETECTING TRACE ELEMENTS
A diaper with urine detection functionalities is provided. The diaper includes a urine isolation layer, an absorbent core layer, and an outer layer. A urine detection device is disposed between the urine isolation layer and the absorbent core layer. The isolation layer has an open end that is embedded in a sleeve of the absorbent core layer. The urine detection device comprises a detection circuit and a test paper composite. The test paper composite includes: a trace element test paper, an antibiotic test paper, and a urine routine test paper. Each test paper is made up of a plurality of test strips for detecting different elements. Each test strip produces results according to a different color indicator scheme.
DIAPERS WITH URINE DETECTION FUNCTIONALITY AND METHODS FOR DETECTING ANTIBIOTIC
A diaper, having urine detection functionalities, comprises a urine isolation layer, an absorbent core layer and an outer layer. A urine detection device is disposed in between the urine isolation layer and the absorbent core layer. The urine isolation layer has an open end embedded in a sleeve of the absorbent core layer. The urine detection device comprises a detection circuit and a test paper composite. The test paper composite includes: a trace element test paper, an antibiotic test paper and a urine routine test paper. Each test paper is made up of test strips for detecting different elements. Each test strip produces results according to a different color indicator scheme. The antibiotic test paper includes a specimen absorption pad, a specimen binding pad, a reaction membrane, and an absorbent pad. An antibiotic detection method is provided.
Spectroscopic measurements with parallel array detector
A measurement apparatus comprises optical components arranged to provide parallel measurements of a biological sample. The parallel sample measurements provide improved accuracy with lower detection limit thresholds. The parallel measurements may comprise one or more of Raman spectroscopy measurements or infrared spectroscopy measurements. The parallel measurements can be combined with a light source. In many embodiments, the light source comprises one or more wavelengths corresponding to resonance frequencies of one or more molecules of the sample, such as wavelengths of ultraviolet light. The wavelengths of light corresponding to resonance frequencies can provide an increased signal to noise ratio. The parallel array optical configuration can be combined with wavelengths of light corresponding to resonance frequencies in order to provide increased measurement accuracy and detection of metabolites.
URINE COLLECTION SYSTEMS AND ASSOCIATED METHODS AND DEVICES
Urine collection systems and associated methods and devices are disclosed herein. A representative system can include a urine collection device, a flow control assembly configured to direct a urine flow from the patient to the urine collection device, and a urine measurement device including a first sensor and a second sensor. The first sensor is configured to generate first sensor data based on a weight of the container, and the second sensor is configured to generate second sensor data based on the urine flow from the patient to the container. The system can further include non-transitory computer readable media having instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the system to perform operations comprising determining a first patient urine output based on the first sensor data; and determining a second patient urine output based on the second sensor data.

Urinary Output Measuring System
A urinary output measuring system includes a system module, a fluid collection bag, and a pressure measurement tube having an open end disposed at the bottom interion of the fluid collection bag. The bag is configured to receive urine from a patient as delivered via a urinary catheter. The system module includes a pressure sensor, an air pump, and a valve. Processors perform operations of the system as defined by logic. A manifold defines fluid communication between the tube, the air pump, the pressure sensor, and the valve. Operations and methods include purging fluid from the tube, determining a pressure within the tube, and converting the pressure to a volume of urine within the bag. The bag includes a vent having includes a sterilizing filer and a hydrophobic membrane. The system module is configured to couple with a bed and suspend the bag.
Urinary Detection and Collection Systems and Methods
Disclosed herein is a urinary detection system including a plurality of sensors configured to detect a urine sample and one or more analytes within the urine sample, the plurality of sensors selected from the group consisting of a moisture sensor, a pH sensor, a blood sensor, a bacteria sensor, and combinations thereof. The system further includes a console in communication with the plurality of sensors, the console including one or more processors, an energy source, non-transitory computer readable medium and a plurality of logic modules.
