Force transducer, a measuring device and a system for measuring muscle stiffness

A force transducer is disclosed, which is arranged in such a way that, when a force is applied to the force transducer, two output signals from the force transducer are generated, which output signals are representative of the force components in a first plane and in a second plane perpendicular to the first plane, respectively, whereas force components in a third plane perpendicular to the first plane and the second plane do not affect the output signals from the force transducer. Furthermore, a measuring device is disclosed, comprising a handle comprising such a force transducer and a base unit, to which the handle is attached. Even further, a system for measuring muscle stiffness is disclosed, comprising a measuring unit and a processing unit, the measuring unit comprising such a measuring device.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ENHANCING INFECTION DETECTION AND MONITORING THROUGH DECOMPOSED PHYSIOLOGICAL DATA

Systems and methods for enhancing infection detection and monitoring through decomposed physiological data are disclosed. An example method includes receiving, from a wearable device of a user, physiological data of the user and decomposing the physiological data, by applying a heart rate algorithm, to generate one or more physiological parameters. The example method further includes analyzing, by applying the heart rate algorithm, the one or more physiological parameters to output a period classification, and determining whether or not the period classification is indicative of an infection. The example method further includes, responsive to determining that the period classification is indicative of the infection, displaying, in a user interface, a warning to the user that indicates the infection, and receiving, from the wearable device of the user, additional physiological data of the user to monitor the infection.

Imaging system and control method for imaging system

An imaging system, comprising a shooting operation interface that operates to form an image of a subject, and a processor that has a bio-information acquisition section and a stress determination section, wherein the bio-information acquisition section acquires bio-information of an operator when, during shooting awaiting action where an instant for acquiring still images is awaited, the shooting operation interface is operated, and the stress determination section determines stress conditions that shooting actions place on the operator based on the bio-information that has been acquired using the bio-information acquisition section.

Systems and methods for monitoring acute:chronic workload ratio (ACWR) are described. An indicator of workload is received from a device worn or carried by a user. An acute workload is determined for the user based on the received indicator of workload over a first period of time. A chronic workload is determined for the user based on the received indicator of workload over a second period of time, where the first period of time is shorter than the second period of time. A current ACWR is determined for the user based on the acute workload and the chronic workload.
