Assessing fallopian tubal patency
A method of assessing Fallopian tubal patency includes introducing a distension medium into a patient's uterus, introducing a contrasting medium into the uterus, and observing the contrasting medium, for example, via a hysteroscope, to determine whether the contrasting medium flows into one or both Fallopian tubes. A device for assessing Fallopian tubal patency includes a chamber for receiving contrast media, a flow path through the chamber for delivering distension media to a patient's uterus, and a flow controller for regulating the flow of distension media to the patient's uterus. The flow path is configured to permit flow of contrast media from the chamber into the flow path.
Optical biopsy applicators for treatment planning, monitoring, and image-guided therapy
An in vivo optical biopsy applicator of the vaginal wall for treatment planning, monitoring, and imaging guided therapy is described herein. The applicator may include an imaging probe operatively coupled to a laser ablation device. The applicator allows for non-invasive optical tissue monitoring in order to define pre- and post menopausal parameters, pre- and post-treatment microscopic changes, and offers an objective scientific tool in order to compare currently available medical, non-medicated, and energy-based treatment protocols.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF DETECTING HORMONES OR ANALYTES FOR FERTILITY AND PREGNANCY MONITORING
Provided herein are systems and methods that use an electrochemical aptamer-based (EAB) biosensor to detect a plurality of hormone and/or analyte that can be used for fertility and pregnancy monitoring.
Real-time blood detection system
Disclosed is a system for real-time detection and annunciation of blood associated with menstruation and surgical wounds. The system comprises a real-time, wide area blood detector, communication means for relay of blood detection information, and annunciation means to inform the user of the emanation of blood. Various system embodiments include local and remote as well as covert and non-covert annunciation to users or medical personnel, various forms of real-time blood detection sensors, blood analysis capability, and smart bandage telemetry.
HEALTH CARE SYSTEM
Heath care system has a server providing service for caring for the health state of each user, and a terminal of the user. The server registers and manages health information including examination results, body temperature and menstruation data of each user based on operation from the user terminal, determines the health state of each user, including a tendency of variation of values of an examination item, based on comparison of time series values of the examination item of the examination result data and based on comparison result between the values of the examination item of the examination result data and a numerical range of reference information corresponding to the examination item, and outputs, to the user terminal, information including a graph of the examination result data, a graph of the body temperature and menstruation data, and a message appropriate for the health state of each user.
Absorbent hygienic articles with sensors and biocompostable elements
Absorbent articles with biodegradable and/or biocompostable elements are disclosed, wherein the absorbent articles include sensors. The sensors detect and determine variables associated with collected fluids, solids, and gases, including a presence of fluids, solids, and gases, a volume of fluids, solids, and gases, and/or a distribution of fluids, solids, and gases. In one embodiment, the sensors and/or connected computing systems are calibrated to capacities and other properties of elements within the articles, including superabsorbent polymers, and are operable to trigger an alert based on detected or determined conditions.
SYSTEM FOR REPRODUCTIVE MONITORING
A system for sensing one or more physiological traits and obstetric conditions, such as a fertility phase, pregnancy, labor, post-partum conditions, and other conditions related to the reproductive system of the patient. The system may use the one or more physiological traits sensed to define one or more patient attributes for the patient, such as a hormone level, heart rate, blood pressure, respiration rate, temperature, oxygen saturation level, uterine contractions, fluid level, and/or other patient attributes. The system is configured to compare the one or more patient attributes to one or more attribute signs describing a threshold for the one or more patient attributes. The system is configured to issue a communication to the patient and/or a clinician based on the comparisons. The system may be configured to assess and indicate reproductive phases for the patient over a life-cycle from the fertility phase to the post-partum phase.
System and method for unobtrusively determining a fertile window
A system for unobtrusively determining a fertile window includes a contact sensor in contact with the woman and configured to provide a signal indicative of respiration of the woman. A processor is configured to process the signal to obtain a biomechanical parameter indicative of the respiration, and determine the fertile window of the woman based on a change in the obtained biomechanical parameter.
GAS DETECTION SYSTEM FOR GYNECOLOGICAL DISEASE DETECTION AND DETECTION METHOD USING THE SAME
A gas detection system for gynecological disease detection and a detection method using the same are provided. The gas detection system is configured to detect an analyte from a female vagina and includes: a main body, a sleeve, a detection module, a pump, and a control module. The main body includes a body portion and a head portion having an intake channel. The body portion includes a detection chamber and an exhaust channel. The detection module includes at least one sensor configured to detect at least one target of the analyte and produce at least one detection signal. The pump is communicated with the detection chamber and the exhaust channel. The control module includes a processing unit and a first communication unit. The processing unit receives the at least one detection signal and controls the first communication unit to send the at least one detection signal.
