Sessions and groups
Athletic activity may be tracked while providing encouragement to perform athletic activity. For example, energy expenditure values and energy expenditure intensity values may be calculated and associated with a duration and type of activity performed by an individual. These values and other movement data may be displayed on an interface in a manner to motivate the individual and maintain the individual's interest. The interface may track one or more discrete “sessions”. The sessions may be associated with energy expenditure values during a duration that is within a second duration, such as a day, that is also tracked with respect to variables, such as energy expenditure. Other individuals (e.g., friends) may also be displayed on an interface through which a user's progress is tracked. This may allow the user to also view the other individuals' progress toward completing an activity goal and/or challenge.
DETECTION DEVICE, DETECTION SYSTEM, DETECTION METHOD, AND PROGRAM RECORDING MEDIUM
A detection device that includes an extraction unit that extracts waveform data based on a gait of a walker using sensor data acquired from a sensor installed on a foot of the walker and a detection unit that detects a gait event from the waveform data extracted by the extraction unit.
ALGORITHMS FOR SELECTING ATHLETIC AND RECOVERY EQUIPMENT,DEVICES, AND SOLUTIONS BASED ON MUSCLE DATA, AND ASSOCIATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Systems and methods for providing algorithmic equipment and/or accessory recommendations are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a method providing an equipment or accessory recommendation to an athlete includes: monitoring a first amplitude of a first muscle of the athlete by a first wearable muscle response sensor carried by the athlete; monitoring a second amplitude of a second muscle of the athlete by a second wearable muscle response sensor carried by the athlete; determining a difference between the first amplitude and the second amplitude; comparing the difference to a predetermined amplitude threshold; and based on the comparing, providing an equipment or accessory recommendation to the athlete.
Pressure sensing insole
A pressure sensing insole according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a first electrode layer including a first conductive region; a first adhesive layer disposed on the first electrode layer and including an insulating region; an intermediate layer disposed on the first adhesive layer; a second adhesive layer disposed on the intermediate layer and including an insulating region; and a second electrode layer disposed on the second adhesive layer and including a second conductive region.
ESTIMATION DEVICE, ESTIMATION SYSTEM, ESTIMATION METHOD, AND PROGRAM RECORDING MEDIUM
An estimation device that includes an extraction unit that acquires sensor data from a sensor installed on footwear and extracts a gait feature quantity characteristic of walking in the footwear by using the sensor data, and an estimation unit that estimates a type of the footwear based on the gait feature quantity extracted by the extraction unit.
Automated physical training system
Systems, methods and computer readable media comprising a virtual exercise board, which is represented by images on the screen of a pad device; wearable devices configured to attach to each shoe of a user and to collect and transmit touch data to the pad device; cameras for tracking movement and calibrating with the data collected by the wearable devices; and computer programs for collecting user data, processing user data, and generating outputs. In embodiments, features include augmented reality; ratings of performance; automated workouts/protocols; real-time progress bar; multi-location database capabilities; and reports.
Communication devices, methods, and systems
Numerous aspects of communication devices, methods, and systems are described in this application. One aspect is an apparatus comprising a plurality of energy generators arrangeable on or adjacent skin. Each energy generator of the plurality of energy generators may be operable to output a plurality of different energy types in a signal direction toward the skin. The plurality of energy generators may be operable to communicate with nerves associated with the skin when arranged on or adjacent the skin by outputting an energy signal in the signal direction with one or more energy types of the plurality of different energy types.
SENSORS, INTERFACES AND SENSOR SYSTEMS FOR DATA COLLECTION AND INTEGRATED MONITORING OF CONDITIONS AT OR NEAR BODY SURFACES
Sensing devices including sensors such as flexible and stretchable fabric-based pressure sensors, may be associated with or incorporated in garments, such as socks, intended to be worn against a body surface (directly or indirectly). Specific manifestations of a sensing system incorporated in a sock substrate are described in detail. Dedicated electronic devices interface electrically with sensors through intermediate conductive traces, optional conductive bridges, conductive contacts provided in a mounting tab.
Calibration of a wearable medical device
A technology for a wearable medical device for monitoring medical parameters. Medical measurement data can be received at the wearable medical device from a medical measurement sensor attached to the wearable medical device or a medical measurement sensor in communication with the wearable medical device. A calibration coefficient can be determined for calibrating the wearable medical device based on the medical measurement data. The wearable medical device can be calibrated based on the calibration coefficient.
Footwear having sensor system
A shoe has a sensor system operably connected to a communication port. Performance data is collected by the system and can be transferred for further use via the communication port. The shoe may contain an electronic module configured to gather data from the sensors. The module may also transmit the data to an external device for further processing. Users can use the collected data for a variety of different uses or applications.
