Methods and Systems for Monitoring Circumferential or Linear Displacements to Determine Respiratory Activity
A respiratory monitoring system that uses an elastic cord with at least one wire wound around the elastic cord such that, when current passes through, it generates a magnetic field along the length of the elastic cord. The system further includes a recorder that measures changes in inductance and/or frequency in order to derive a respiratory rate of a patient in a coil cord. Embodiments of the system of the present specification have application in Respiratory Inductive Plethysmography (RIP) belts.

The various embodiments of the method of the present invention include a method to improving or expanding the capacity of a sleep analysis unit or laboratory, a method sleep analysis testing a patient admitted for diagnosis or treatment of another primary medical condition while being treated or diagnosed for that condition, a method of sleep analysis testing a patient that cannot be easily moved or treated in a sleep analysis unit or laboratory and other like methods.
Apparatus, system and method of respiratory inductance plethysmography with measurement bands
An apparatus comprising at least two RIP measurement bands further comprises an electric power source arrangement, which excites simultaneously the at least two measurement bands with electric currents of different pseudo random variations, for making respiratory signals output by the at least two measurement bands unique. The apparatus also comprises a wireless transmitter arrangement, which transmits wirelessly respiratory information based on the respiratory signals output by the at least two measurement bands.

Devices, apparatuses, and systems configured to assist in the location of an ABTT terminus and then to measure the temperature of the ABTT terminus.
Systems and methods for monitoring uterine activity and assessing pre-term birth risk
A method for uterine activity monitoring may include: acquiring a plurality of signals from a plurality of sensors during uterine activity; processing the plurality of signals to extract a plurality of uterine electrical activity characteristics; analyzing the plurality of uterine electrical activity characteristics; and classifying the uterine activity as one of: a preterm labor contraction, a labor contraction, a Braxton-Hicks contraction, and a state of no contraction. A method of assessing over time a pre-term birth risk of a pregnant female may include: calculating a baseline pre-term birth risk score based on a user input; acquiring, over time, a signal from a sensor; analyzing the signal to extract a parameter of interest, such that the parameter of interest comprises a physiological parameter; and calculating an instant pre-term birth risk score based, at least in part, on the parameter of interest and the user input.
Wearable Assembly Comprising a Wearable Article and an Electronics Module
The wearable article (200) comprises a sensing component. The electronics module (100) is removably coupled to the wearable article (200). The electronics module comprises a housing and a processor disposed within the housing (101). An interface element (121, 123) interfaces with the sensing component so as to receive signals from the sensing component and provide the same to the processor. A sensor (105) is disposed within the housing (101). The sensor (105) monitors a property of the environment external the electronics module (100) through the housing (101). The housing (101) is constructed such that the sensor (105) has line of sight through the housing (101).
ELECTRODE BAND, ELECTRODE STRUCTURE, FEED LINE, AND ELECTRICAL IMPEDANCE IMAGING DEVICE
The present invention provides an electrode band, an electrode structure, a feed line, and an electrical impedance imaging device. The electrode band comprises: a band (1) which is elastic and is provided with a first surface (11) and a second surface (12) which are oppositely disposed; and a plurality of electrodes (4) fixed on the first surface (11) and provided with male buckles (43) which penetrate through the band (1) and are exposed on the second surface (12), the male buckles (43) being electrically connected to the electrodes (4). The electrode band of the present invention is simple in structure and low in cost, and can rapidly and conveniently fix the electrodes to the body of an object to be measured, and the fixing efficiency is high; the electrode band is elastic, and when the electrode band is fixed around the thoracic cavity of the measured object, the elastic force of the band is converted into pressing force on the electrodes, so that good contact between the electrodes and the skin of the thoracic cavity can be ensured; and the electrode band and the feed line are provided in a split mode by means of a male buckle-female buckle structure, so that the design of the electrode band is simplified, the feed line can be repeatedly used, and the replacement cost of the electrode band is reduced.
CHARGER POSITIONING BELT
A belt-like garment is disclosed herein that addresses the need in the wireless recharging field for a holder that maintains the proximity of the recharger to the implanted device, is less bulky and better conforming to the wearer, is easy to don and doff, and prevents shifting throughout the recharging session.
WEARABLE CHRONIC MONITORING SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND DEVICES
The present disclosure is directed to systems and methods of collecting environmental and/or biometric information and/or data using a chronic monitoring apparatus that includes a wearable expandable support structure to wirelessly receive power via a wireless power transfer antenna disposed in, on, or about the wearable expandable support structure. The chronic monitoring apparatus includes power receiver circuitry, data transmission circuitry, sensor circuitry, and control circuitry. The wearable expandable support structure maintains close contact between at least a portion of the sensor circuitry and the wearer of the chronic monitoring apparatus without requiring the use of adhesives or other bonding agents. The chronic monitoring apparatus communicates the collected environmental and/or biometric information to external data collection circuitry. The components included in the chronic monitoring apparatus are sealed within the wearable expandable support structure providing a rugged, reliable, resilient and waterproof system that is biocompatible, non-irritating and does not require the use of adhesives.
Systems and methods for controlling position
Systems and methods for assessing compliance with position therapy. In an embodiment, position therapy is provided to a user while the user is wearing a position therapy device. The position therapy comprises, by the device, collecting positional data, determining positions of the user over a time period based on the positional data, and, when it is determined that the user is in a target position, providing feedback to the user to influence the user to change to a non-target position. In addition, the device stores a duration of use in its memory. The duration of use indicates a duration that the user has used the wearable position therapy device in each of one or more positions. An assessment of the user's compliance with the position therapy is then provided based, at least in part, on the duration of use.
