Patient-worn wireless physiological sensor
A wireless, patient-worn, physiological sensor configured to, among other things, help manage a patient that is at risk of forming one or more pressure ulcers is disclosed. According to an embodiment, the sensor includes a base having a top surface and a bottom surface. The sensor also includes a substrate layer including conductive tracks and connection pads, a top side, and a bottom side, where the bottom side of the substrate layer is disposed above the top side of the base. Mounted on the substrate layer are a processor, a data storage device, a wireless transceiver, an accelerometer, and a battery. In use, the sensor senses a patient's motion and wirelessly transmits information indicative of the sensed motion to, for example, a patient monitor. The patient monitor receives, stores, and processes the transmitted information.
SENSOR APPLICATOR ASSEMBLY FOR CONTINUOUS GLUCOSE MONITORING SYSTEM
The present invention relates to a sensor applicator assembly for a continuous glucose monitoring system and provides a sensor applicator assembly for a continuous glucose monitoring system, which is manufactured with a sensor module assembled inside an applicator, thereby minimizing additional work by a user for attaching the sensor module to the body and allowing the sensor module to be attached to the body simply by operating the applicator, and thus can be used more conveniently. A battery is built in the sensor module and a separate transmitter is connected to the sensor module so as to receive power supply from the sensor module and be continuously used semi-permanently, thereby making the assembly economical. The sensor module and the applicator are used as disposables, thereby allowing accurate and safe use and convenient maintenance.
METHOD OF GENERATING AN INDICATION OF MUSCLE FATIGUE, SENSOR AND SYSTEM THEREFOR
The method can include a muscle deforming a fiber path and activating a joint of the mammal, circulating electricity along the fiber, along the length of the fiber path, generating a movement signal including monitoring a change of impedance of the fiber stemming from the deformation of the muscle path during said deformation of the fiber path, determining a coefficient of correlation value of successive portions of the movement signal associated to corresponding, successive, time windows, including ascertaining a degree of similitude between the corresponding portion and a corresponding movement template, and generating an indication of muscle fatigue based on said coefficient of correlation values.
Acoustic sensor assembly
An acoustic sensor is configured to provide accurate and robust measurement of bodily sounds under a variety of conditions, such as in noisy environments or in situations in which stress, strain, or movement may be imparted onto a sensor with respect to a patient. Embodiments of the sensor provide a conformable electrical shielding, as well as improved acoustic and mechanical coupling between the sensor and the measurement site.
VIBROTACTILE STIMULATION DEVICE
A vibrotactile stimulation device intended to be applied against a body medium (MC) to be stimulated, produced in the form of a functional unit, comprising a vibrating effector suitable for applying, to said medium, pulses of mechanical vibrational energy, and a controller for controlling the effector according to stimulation rules. The functional unit further houses a first electrode suitable for cooperating with at least one second electrode separated from the first electrode in order to supply signals representative of a cardiac activity and a muscular activity on the medium to be stimulated, said controller being sensitive to cardiac activity and muscular activity signals in order to influence the stimulation. The stimulation device may be used for body stimulation in combating sleep apnea, with improved detection.
TRANSCUTANEOUS ANALYTE SENSOR SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Systems for applying a transcutaneous monitor to a person can include a telescoping assembly, a sensor, and a base with adhesive to couple the sensor to skin. The sensor can be located within the telescoping assembly while the base protrudes from a distal end of the system. The system can be configured to couple the sensor to the base by compressing the telescoping assembly.
Dry electrode and physiological multi-parameter monitoring equipment
A dry electrode and a physiological multi-parameter monitoring equipment are disclosed. The waterproof dry electrode comprises an encapsulation, extraction electrode and a contact surface layer, wherein the extraction electrode and the contact surface layer are connected with each other and disposed in the encapsulation; the contact surface layer comprises an exposed part and an embedded part encapsulation; the encapsulation comprises flexible silica gel and hard plastic portion, the embedded part being embedded into the hard plastic portion, and the hard plastic portion being packaged in the flexible silica gel. Through the above arrangement in the present invention, the dry electrode can reach a waterproof grade of IPX7, which is higher than living waterproof grade of an ordinary dry electrode. The PMPME can be a patch-type acquisition and monitoring equipment which is convenient for long time wearing and physiological multi-parameter monitoring, with excellent sealing and waterproofness, and the electrode is reusable.
BIOELECTRODE, PRODUCTION METHOD AND INSTALLATION METHOD FOR BIOELECTRODE
A bioelectrode in which an electrode layer can deform in association with the unevenness of the installation surface of the biological surface so as to adhere to the installation surface, and which can be easily transported and stored, a production method and an installation method for the bioelectrode. It is a bioelectrode in which a flexible electrode that is to directly contact a biological surface is formed from an electrode layer that includes a conductive polymer and deforms in association with an installation surface of the biological surface so as to adhere to the installation surface, and an elastomer layer that is layered on one surface side of the electrode layer and deforms in association with the installation surface and the electrode layer, wherein the flexible electrode is bonded to a water-permeable layer that serves as a support via a water-soluble sacrificial layer that includes a water-soluble material.
