In an embodiment, the detector comprises a plurality of photodetectors arranged in a special geometry comprising one of a substantially linear substantially equal spaced geometry, a substantially linear substantially non-equal spaced geometry, and a substantially grid geometry.
PERINEAL PROTECTION DEVICE, SYSTEM AND METHOD
Aspects of embodiments pertain to a perineal protection device for reducing the risk or preventing perineal tear during birth. The device may comprise a reinforcement shield that is releasably connectable to a female perineum of a subject, the reinforcement shield having a surface geometry substantially corresponding to an underlying perineal muscle structure and being configured to reduce deformation of the perineum during childbirth. Optionally, the perineal protection device further comprises a fastener arrangement for releasably securing the reinforcement shield to the female perineum. The fastener arrangement may comprise a support pad that is adhesively engageable with the subject and/or straps for strapping the reinforcement shield to the subject.
Tourniquet
A tourniquet includes a surrounding device, a measuring portion, and an elastic band portion connected in series, wherein the measuring portion defines an accomodating space for placing an air bag device with an elastic air bag. A radial resonant ring formed by connecting the measuring portion and the elastic band portion in series can reduce the influence of non-radial vibration, so as to improve the sensitivity and accuracy of the radial resonance of the tourniquet of the present disclosure.

This includes utilizing at least one light source configured to strike a target area of a sample, utilizing at least one light filter positioned to receive light transmitted through the target area of the sample from the at least one light source, utilizing at least one light detector positioned to receive light from the at least one light source and filtered by the at least one light filter, and to generate an output signal, having a time dependent current, which is indicative of the power of light detected, receiving the output signal from the at least one light detector with a processor, calculating the attenuance attributable to blood with a ratio factor based on the received output signal, and determining a blood glucose level based on the calculated attenuance.
Electrocardiogram measurement apparatus
The present invention relates to an electrocardiogram measurement apparatus (measurement sensor) which can be used in combination with a smartphone by an individual. The electrocardiogram measurement apparatus according to the present invention comprises: two amplifiers for receiving electrocardiogram signals from a first electrode and a second electrode; one electrode driving unit; a third electrode for receiving an output of the electrode driving unit; an A/D converter connected to an output terminal of each of the two amplifiers and converting analog signals into digital signals; a microcontroller for receiving the digital signals from the A/D converter; and a communication means for transmitting the digital signal, wherein: the microcontroller is supplied with power from a battery; the microcontroller controls the A/D converter and the communication means; and each of the two amplifiers amplifies one electrocardiogram signal so as to simultaneously measure two electrocardiogram signals.
Methods And Devices For Central Photoplethysmographic Monitoring
Provided according to embodiments of the present invention are methods of monitoring individuals that include securing a photoplethysmography probe to at least one of a pre-auricular region and a post-auricular region of the individual and obtaining photoplethysmography signals from the photoplethysmography probe. Photoplethysmography probes and helmets related to such methods are also described herein.
ADJUSTABLE ECG SENSOR AND RELATED METHOD
An adjustable ECG sensor is attachable to a patient to sense cardiac signals and includes an adjustable leadwire having a flexible substrate, a conductor extending along the flexible substrate, and a connector end connectable to a receiver associated with an ECG monitor. The adjustable ECG sensor further includes an electrode having an electrode pad, a clip connected to the electrode pad and attachable to any one of multiple locations on the adjustable leadwire, and a pin that punctures the flexible substrate and electrically connects to the conductor of the adjustable leadwire. The adjustable ECG sensor is fitted to the patient by attaching the clip of the electrode to one of the multiple locations on the adjustable leadwire.
MULTIPLE WAVELENGTH SENSOR EMITTERS
A physiological sensor has light emitting sources, each activated by addressing at least one row and at least one column of an electrical grid. The light emitting sources are capable of transmitting light of multiple wavelengths and a detector is responsive to the transmitted light after attenuation by body tissue.
NONINVASIVE PHYSIOLOGICAL SENSOR
A noninvasive physiological sensor can include a first body portion and a second body portion coupled to each other and configured to at least partially enclose a user's finger. The sensor can further include a first probe coupled to one or more emitters and a second probe coupled to a detector. The first probe can direct light emitted from the one or more emitters toward tissue of the user's finger and the second probe can direct light attenuated through the tissue to the detector. The first and second probes can be coupled to the first and second body portions such that when the first and second body portions are rotated with respect to one another, ends of the first and second probes can be moved in a direction towards one another to compress the tissue of the user's finger.
