ATTACHMENT DEVICE FOR HOLDING AN AUSCULTATION DEVICE NEAR A SMART DEVICE
An attachment device for holding an auscultation device near a smart device. The attachment device includes an interior compartment for receiving the smart device and a port for receiving the auscultation device. In use, the attachment device holds the microphone of the smart device adjacent to the auscultation device. The smart device records the heart or breathing sounds from the auscultation device, and a mobile application on the smart device classifies the sounds as normal or abnormal.
Determining the Risk of Opioid-Related Adverse Events Based on Pupillary Measurements
The disclosure provides methods of managing opioid therapy, particularly, for pain management. The methods comprise determining in a subject, for example, a subject who has received an opioid treatment, pupillary unrest in ambient light (PUAL). Low values of PUAL can be used to identify patients at risk for opioid side-effects, such as opioid-related respiratory depression (OIRD), and who warrant attention to prevent such side effects. Accordingly, the methods include monitoring the patients having low values of PUAL for signs of adverse side-effects and/or limiting or avoiding administration of opioids.
AUTONOMOUSLY NAVIGATING ROBOT CAPABLE OF CONVERSING AND SCANNING BODY TEMPERATURE TO HELP SCREEN FOR COVID-19 AND OPERATION SYSTEM THEREOF
This application relates to an autonomously navigating robot. In one aspect, the robot includes an end effector configured to measure a person's body temperature and, when the body temperature exceeds a standard fever temperature, activate a chatbot to check symptoms of Covid-19. The robot may also include a manipulator configured to align the end effector with the person's forehead. The robot may further include a mobile robot configured to detect the person and move the end effector and the manipulator to a position where the person is located by performing autonomous navigation.
Exercised-based watch face and complications
Exercise-based watch faces and complications for use with a portable multifunction device are disclosed. The methods described herein for exercise-based watch faces and complications provide indications of time and affordances representing applications (e.g., a workout application or a weather application). In response to detecting a user input corresponding to a selection of the affordance (e.g., representing a workout application), a workout routine can optionally be begun. Further disclosed are non-transitory computer-readable storage media, systems, and devices configured to perform the methods described herein, as well as electronic devices related thereto.
Corneal topography methods
A mobile communication device-based corneal topography system includes an illumination system, an imaging system, a topography processor, an image sensor, and a mobile communication device. The illumination system is configured to generate an illumination pattern reflected off a cornea of a subject. The imaging system is coupled to an image sensor to capture an image of the reflected illumination pattern. A topography processor is coupled to the image sensor to process the image of the reflected illumination pattern. The mobile communications device includes a display, the mobile communications device is operatively coupled to the image sensor. The mobile communications device includes a mobile communications device (MCD) processor. A housing at least partially encloses one or more of the illumination system, the imaging system, or the topography processor.
Heart signal waveform processing system and method
A computer-implemented method, computer program product and computing system for receiving a single-lead heartbeat waveform for a user; comparing one or more portions of the single-lead heartbeat waveform to one or more ML-generated waveform features to associate a heart health indicator with the single-lead heartbeat waveform; and providing the heart health indicator to a recipient.
Display device and method for operating the same
A display device includes a display panel, an input sensor, and a readout circuit. The display panel is configured to display an image. The input sensor is disposed on the display panel. The readout circuit is configured to output a moisture level signal corresponding to sensing signals received from the input sensor in a skin measurement mode.
Methods for radio wave based health monitoring that utilize data derived from amplitude and/or phase data
A method for monitoring a health parameter in a person is disclosed. The method involves transmitting radio waves below the skin surface of a person and across a range of stepped frequencies, receiving radio waves on a two-dimensional array of receive antennas, the received radio waves including a reflected portion of the transmitted radio waves across the range of stepped frequencies, generating data that corresponds to the received radio waves, wherein the data includes amplitude and phase data, deriving data from at least one of the amplitude and phase data, and determining a value that is indicative of a health parameter in the person in response to the derived data.
Electronic device for measuring skin condition of user and method for operating same
A first electronic device according to various embodiments may include: a display; a communication module comprising communication circuitry; a camera module including at least one camera; and a processor. The processor may be configured to: identify a request for measuring a skin condition of a user in a state in which the first electronic device is cradled on a second electronic device; acquire, based on information of the camera module and information regarding at least one light-emitting element included in the second electronic device, control information for controlling output of the at least one light-emitting element; control output of light from the at least one light-emitting element of the second electronic device based on the control information; acquire at least one image including at least a part of a body of the user through the camera module while light is output through the at least one light-emitting element controlled based on the control information; and provide information regarding the skin condition of the user using the at least one image.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR AUTOMATIC COUGH DETECTION
A method for identifying cough sounds in an audio recording of a subject including: operating at least one electronic processor to identify potential cough sounds in the audio recording; operating the at least one electronic processor to transform one or more of the potential cough sounds into corresponding one or more image representations; operating the at least one electronic processor to apply the one or more image representations to a representation pattern classifier trained to confirm that a potential cough sound is a cough sound or is not a cough sound; and operating the at least one electronic processor to flag one or more of the potential cough sounds as confirmed cough sounds based on an output of the representation pattern classifier.
