An electronic device according to an embodiment includes a speaker capable of outputting a sound wave, a sensor capable of acquiring an optical signal related to blood flow at a measured part of a user, and a controller configured to measure blood flow information of the measured part based on the optical signal. The controller estimates a sleep state of the user based on the blood flow information and controls, based on the sleep state, a sound wave outputted from the speaker.

ACTIVE IMPLANTABLE STIMULATING DEVICE FOR ON-DEMAND STIMULATION OF A VAGUS NERVE
20230038649 · 2023-02-09 · ·

An active implantable stimulating device (10) includes: (a) a tissue coupling unit (40) for being implanted directly onto a vagus nerve (Vn) of a patient, (b) an EEG-unit (70) for measuring an electroencephalogram of the patient, (c) an encapsulation unit (50) configured for being subcutaneously implanted, (d) an energy transfer lead (30) for transferring pulses of electrical and/or optical energy, (e) a signal transfer lead (60) for transferring signals between the EEG unit and the encapsulation unit. EEG electrodes (70a-70d) monitor the electric activity of the brain of a patient. The EEG signal is conveyed to the electronic circuit (53) in the form of EEG conditioned data. The electronic circuit analyses the EEG conditioned data to yield analysis results. The electronic circuit takes a decision to trigger energy pulses to stimulate the vagus nerve (VN).

MUSCLE ACTIVATION, AND ASSOCIATED ALGORITHMS, SYSTEMS AND METHODS
20230039042 · 2023-02-09 ·

Systems and methods for tracking performance are provided. A method includes monitoring a first amplitude of a first muscle activity for a plurality of time. The method includes generating a plurality of measures of neuromuscular work for the plurality of time points using the first amplitude. The method includes determining a plurality of muscle activation quotients for the plurality of time points, using the plurality of measures of neuromuscular work. The method includes defining a plurality of muscle activation zones using the plurality of muscle activation quotients, wherein individual muscle activation zones correspond to ranges of values of the plurality of muscle activation quotients. The method includes generating a visualization of the plurality of muscle activation quotients and the plurality of muscle activation zones for the plurality of time-points. The method also includes outputting the visualization to a display.

Systems and methods for controlling position

Systems and methods for assessing compliance with position therapy. In an embodiment, position therapy is provided to a user while the user is wearing a position therapy device. The position therapy comprises, by the device, collecting positional data, determining positions of the user over a time period based on the positional data, and, when it is determined that the user is in a target position, providing feedback to the user to influence the user to change to a non-target position. In addition, the device stores a duration of use in its memory. The duration of use indicates a duration that the user has used the wearable position therapy device in each of one or more positions. An assessment of the user's compliance with the position therapy is then provided based, at least in part, on the duration of use.

Adjustable measurement device

An adjustable measurement device is described that may include a housing, a power supply, a processor, a communication device, an elastic coupling member, a physiological sensor, and/or a clamp. The housing may be configured to attach to a wearable band that is wearable by a subject. The housing may include a chamber within the housing. The power supply, the processor, the communication device, the elastic coupling member, and or the physiological sensor may be disposed within the chamber. The elastic coupling member may couple the physiological sensor to the housing. A force exerted by the elastic coupling member on the physiological sensor may be in a direction through an opening towards a body part of a subject. As the subject wears the wearable band and the housing is coupled to the wearable band, the physiological sensor may be adjacent to or contact the subject.
