MEDICAL DEVICES AND RELATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A medical device may include a lower housing, a printed circuit board (PCB) received within the lower housing, a top housing, two plungers received in gaps within the top housing, and strain gauges mounted to the PCB. The strain gauges may define two polygons aligned with the two plungers. The two plungers may be in contact with the strain gauges such that a force on a plunger is transferred to the strain gauges in contact with the respective plunger. The load magnitude and load location may be determined based on the measured strain of the strain gauges.
Muscle and fascia pain identification by electrical stimulus
A nerve stimulation system including a stimulation probe including a handle and a stimulation head at an end of the handle; a reference electrode; and a control system in communication with the stimulation probe and the reference electrode, the control system configured to generate an electrical stimulation signal that, when delivered to a skin surface of a patient using the stimulation probe, induces an activation potential in a plurality of nociceptors while remaining below a threshold that induces a muscle contractile response.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PHYSICIAN DESIGNED SURGICAL PROCEDURES
Systems and methods for providing assistance to a surgeon during an implant surgery are disclosed. A method includes defining areas of interest in diagnostic data of a patient and defining a screw bone type based on the surgeon's input. Post defining the areas of interest, salient points are determined for the areas of interest. Successively, an XZ angle, an XY angle, and a position entry point for a screw are determined based on the salient points of the areas of interest. Successively, a maximum screw diameter and a length of the screw are determined based on the salient points. Thereafter, the screw is identified and suggested to the surgeon for usage during the implant surgery.
Opioid overdose monitoring
An overdose of opioids can cause the user to stop breathing, resulting in death. A physiological monitoring system monitors respiration based on oxygen saturation readings from a fingertip pulse oximeter in communication with a smart mobile device and sends opioid monitoring information from the smart mobile device to an opioid overdose monitoring service. The opioid overdose monitoring service notifies a first set of contacts when the opioid monitoring information.
IMAGE ALIGNMENT APPARATUS, METHOD, AND PROGRAM
An image alignment apparatus includes at least one processor, and the processor derives, for each of first and second three-dimensional images each including a plurality of tomographic images and a common structure, first and second three-dimensional coordinate information that define an end part of the structure in a direction intersecting the tomographic image. The processor aligns the first three-dimensional image and the second three-dimensional image by using the first and second three-dimensional coordinate information to align the common structure included in each of the first three-dimensional image and the second three-dimensional image at least in the direction intersecting the tomographic image.
System and method for through window personal cloud transmission
A radio frequency (RF) front end device has a signal traveling from a first antenna to a second antenna in an uplink path and a signal traveling from a third antenna to a fourth antenna in a downlink path. The device is under the control of automatic on/off controller (AOOC) which upon receiving a signal indication from a receive signal detector and amplifier (RSDA) turns on the operations of power amplifier (PA) and simultaneously turns off a low noise amplifier (LNA). This LNA is turned off when the power amplifier is turned on to prevent uplink path and downlink path forming a feedback loop which would result in oscillation, noise and interference.
Visually optimized intravascular imaging and associated devices, systems, and methods
Intravascular devices, systems, and methods are disclosed. In some embodiments, a medical imaging system for imaging vasculature of a patient is provided. The imaging system includes a console that has one or more processors with a medical imaging system interface running thereon, an acquisition card in communication with the one or more processors and in communication with a patient interface module (PIM), and an intravascular imaging component in communication with the PIM and disposed on a distal end of a flexible elongate member. The medical imaging system interface provides a plurality of settings groups for selection by a user, each of the settings groups having pre-acquisition parameters and post-acquisition parameters that are optimal for imaging a desired viewing target within the vasculature. Associated methods and computer-readable media are provided.
CLINICAL DIAGNOSTIC AND PATIENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A patient information system is described. A virtual representation of a patient is generated using a captured image of the patient. A graphical user interface is displayed on the display, the graphical user interface including a first screen portion configured to display the virtual representation of the patient and a second screen portion configured to display information. A selection of an area of interest is received on the virtual representation of the patient. Clinical and diagnostic information associated with the selected area of interest is received and displayed in the second screen portion of the graphical user interface. The graphical user interface also includes a timeline that displays events of interest. A selection of an event of interest causes the second screen portion of the graphical user interface to display clinical and diagnostic information associated with the selected event of interest.
Method and system for outputting augmented reality information
A method and system are disclosed for outputting augmented reality information to a first user. In an embodiment, the method includes acquiring first information, including image information, depth information, coordinate information and combinations thereof, the first information relating to at least one of a medical device and a medical examination of a patient; creating the augmented reality information, relating to the medical device and/or the medical examination of the patient, based on the first information; and outputting the augmented reality information such that the augmented reality information is perceivable in a field of view of the first user.
Apparatus and method for processing physiological information
A physiological information processing apparatus includes a processor and a memory storing computer-readable instructions. When the instructions are executed by the processor, the physiological information processing apparatus obtains physiological information data indicative of physiological information of a subject, obtains a first parameter associated with a vital sign of the subject based on the physiological information data, displays a first trend graph showing temporal change in the first parameter in a first display area of a display screen of a display, obtains a second parameter associated with an autonomic nerve function of the subject based on the physiological information data, and displays a second trend graph showing temporal change in the second parameter in a second display area of the display screen. The first and second display areas are displayed next to each other such that time axes of the first and second display areas are synchronized with each other.
