REAL-TIME, ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE-ENABLED ANALYSIS DEVICE AND METHOD FOR USE IN NUCLEAR MEDICINE IMAGING
A system, device and method of imaging using a real-time, AI-enabled analysis device coupled to an imaging device during an image scan of a subject includes: receiving data corresponding to a plurality of image frames from the imaging device and user input identifying a region of interest (ROI) in a first image frame; providing data corresponding to the first image frame, including the identified ROI and data corresponding to the remaining image frames to the AI-enabled data processing system; accepting a plurality of valid image frames from the plurality of image frames based on a predefined set of computer vision rules and a minimum accepted frame threshold; calculating, frame by frame, an ROI function value of the plurality of valid image frames; determining whether a predetermined ROI function value has been reached; and alerting an operator of the imaging device that the predetermined ROI function value has been reached.
Methods and systems for localization of targets inside a body
The present disclosure relates, in part, to a scanning sufficiency apparatus that computes whether a handheld scanning device has scanned a volume for a sufficiently long time for there to be detections and then indicate to the user that the time is sufficient in 3-D rendered voxels. Also described is a hand held medical navigation apparatus with system and methods to map targets inside a patient's body.
Radiolabeled cell tracking and imaging
A system and method include acquisition of positron emission tomography data of an object while a radiation source moves within the object, determination of a plurality of locations within the object, each of the plurality of locations associated with a respective time at which the radiation source was located at the location, determination of a respective time period associated with each of the plurality of locations, determination, for each of the determined time periods, of a frame of the positron emission tomography data associated with the determined time period, and, for each frame of the positron emission tomography data, generation of an image based on the frame and on the location associated with the time period associated with the frame.
SENSOR-LESS DC MOTOR CLOSED LOOP CONTROLLER FOR IMAGING CAPSULE
An imaging capsule, including a radiation source, a collimator that provides a collimated beam from the radiation source, a detector configured to detect particles resulting from X-ray fluorescence and/or Compton backscattering in response to the collimated beam, a motor to rotate the collimator and detector around an axle to scan a partial or full inner circumference of a user's colon with radiation, wherein the motor comprises a segmented commutator that is fed with a power signal via brush contacts; and wherein the motor provides a pulsed output signal based on mechanical switching of the segmented commutator on the brush contacts, providing an indication of the rotation angle of the motor as a function of time.
Infusion procedure for enhancing image quality
Disclosed are methods of radioisotope infusion comprising infusing saline comprising a diagnostic dose of a radioisotope, and delivering a pre-measured volume of push saline. The disclosed methods confer improved image quality with low background noise, higher signal to noise ratio (SNR) and higher contrast to noise ratio (CNR), leading to better diagnosis and thus eliminating the need of repeating the infusion and imaging which in turn reduces exposure of a patient to radiation.
SURGICAL PROBE AND APPARATUS WITH IMPROVED GRAPHICAL DISPLAY
An apparatus for detecting a locating medium in tissue includes a probe, and a console. The probe includes a handle and a detector disposed on a distal end of the probe. The console is in communication and includes a display. The display has a first graphical representation and a second graphical representation. The first graphical representation is configured to depict a count real-time count based on a signal from the detector. The second graphical representation is configured to depict a target count.
Collimator and detector based medical imaging systems
A breast imaging system for examining a breast on a chest of a patient comprises first one or more shielding devices configured for placement on a first side of the breast and a first collimator and a first detector configured for placement on the first side of the breast and at a position that is further away from the breast and from the chest than the first one or more shielding devices are.
URETER DETECTION USING WAVEBAND-SELECTIVE IMAGING
Selective reflection of light by ureters and by tissue around the ureters is used to safely and efficiently image the ureters. In one aspect, a plurality of surgical site scenes is captured. Each of the plurality of surgical site scenes is captured from reflected light having a different light spectrum. The plurality of captured surgical site scenes is analyzed to identify ureter tissue in the captured surgical site scenes. A surgical site scene is displayed on a display device. The displayed surgical site scene has ureter tissue artificially highlighted.
Intra-lumen polyp detection
An apparatus and a method for detecting clinically-relevant features of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract of a subject are disclosed. The apparatus includes a capsule to be swallowed by a subject and passing through the GI tract of the subject, a capsule housing, a radiation source emitting radiation, a rotatable collimator configured to rotate with respect to the housing and to collimate the radiation emitted by the radiation source, and a radiation detector configured to detect particles, such as photons, gamma radiation, beta radiation and electrons photons generated responsive to the emitted radiation. The apparatus also includes a control unit configured to analyze data regarding the photons. Movement of the capsule in the GI tract can be detected from a comparison between at least two images acquired with the apparatus. The radiation source, radiation detector and control unit may advantageously be integrated inside a single housing.
Validation of therapeutic radiation treatment
Validation of a therapeutic radiation treatment involves using an applicator balloon surrounding an X-ray radiation source to support a plurality of X-ray sensor elements (XRSE). The XRSE are supported on the applicator balloon at distributed locations to sense applied radiation from the radiation source. At least one parameter of the applied radiation which has been sensed by the XRSE is compared to a corresponding parameter of a predetermined radiation treatment plan. Based on the comparing, a determination is made as to whether one or more requirements of the predetermined radiation treatment plan have been satisfied.
