System and method for the administration of imaging devices

In a system for the administration of a group of imaging devices which are equipped with a corresponding device hosts, device software and a configuration protocol are executably stored on the device host. The system can include a distributed database system which configured to receive configuration protocols from the device host and to store modified configuration protocols for the respective device host, and to distribute modified configuration protocols. The received and/or stored configuration protocols are made available via a central write access. The system can include an administrator having a memory, a user interface and a processor for communicating with the distributed database system. Configuration protocols can be modified via the user interface and sent to the distributed database system for storage and/or distribution to at least one selected imaging device. These aspects are also applicable to a method for the administration of imaging devices.

ANALYZING EFFICIENCY BY EXTRACTING GRANULAR TIMING INFORMATION

A system and method determines efficiency data of a technician performing a Medical Data Acquisition Procedure (MDAP), using a Medical Data Acquisition System (MDAS). The method includes receiving timing data including Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) metadata obtained during the MDAP by the MDAS. The DICOM metadata includes time duration information relating to each of a plurality of stages of the MDAP. The method includes determining the efficiency data of the technician as a function of the timing data and predetermined efficiency data defined for the MDAP using the MDAS.

FLEXIBLE DOSE ESTIMATION WITH USER-DEFINED VOLUMES

Described is a method of providing an estimate of radiation dose received by a patient during an imaging scan performed by an imaging system. The method includes receiving patient information about the patient, receiving scan data generated during the imaging scan of the patient by the imaging system, creating a virtual dose model of the patient based upon the patient information and the scan data, receiving a selection of a region of interest of the patient, performing a dose simulation on the virtual dose model of the patient or a portion thereof, and determining, based upon an outcome of the dose simulation, an estimate of the radiation dose received within the region of interest. The imaging scan can be a partial imaging scan of a portion of the patient. Also provided is a system and software for carrying out this method.

IMAGING PROTOCOL MANAGER PUSHING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
20200222020 · 2020-07-16 ·

A cloud-based imaging protocol manager pushes standard imaging protocols from the cloud to imaging devices registered with the protocol manager. The protocol manager maintains a library storing standard imaging protocols, determines whether an imaging device is compatible with the standard protocol(s) to be pushed, creates a push command which requests pushing the standard protocol(s) to a compatible imaging device, stores the push command in a command queue, converts the standard protocol(s) to raw protocol(s) usable by the imaging device. The imaging device polls the command queue to receive the push command, downloads the raw protocol(s) from the protocol manager, commits or refuses to commit the downloaded protocol(s), and sends a notification to the protocol manager indicating execution status of the push command.
