Ultrasound diagnostic apparatus and method for controlling ultrasound diagnostic apparatus
An ultrasound diagnostic apparatus 1 includes an image acquisition unit 8 that transmits an ultrasound beam from an ultrasound probe 18 to a subject to acquire an ultrasound image, an optic nerve recognition unit 9 that performs image analysis on the ultrasound image acquired by the image acquisition unit 8 to recognize an optic nerve of the subject, an optic nerve evaluation unit 10 that evaluates a shape of the optic nerve of the subject recognized by the optic nerve recognition unit 9 on the basis of an anatomical structure, and an operation guide unit 12 that guides a user to operate the ultrasound probe 18 so as to acquire an ultrasound image for measurement of the optic nerve of the subject on the basis of an evaluation result obtained by the optic nerve evaluation unit 10.
Plaque vulnerability assessment in medical imaging
Rather than rely on variation from physician to physician and limited imaging information for assessing plaque vulnerability of a patient, medical imaging and other information are used by a machine-implemented classifier to predict plaque rupture. Anatomical, morphological, hemodynamic, and biochemical features are used in combination to classify plaque.
Control apparatus
A control apparatus detects a misalignment between an irradiation position of a transdermal treatment device and a target irradiation position. When the misalignment is detected, the control unit stops irradiation of the transdermal treatment device or moves the irradiation position closer to the target irradiation position.
Intraluminal imaging devices with multiple center frequencies
Intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) imaging devices, systems, and method are provided. In one embodiment, an IVUS imaging device includes a flexible elongate member configured to be positioned within a lumen of a patient, the flexible elongate member comprising a proximal portion and a distal portion; and an imaging assembly disposed at the distal portion of the flexible elongate member. The imaging assembly includes a first ultrasound transducer operating at a first center frequency; and a second ultrasound transducer operating at a second center frequency different from the first center frequency.
ULTRASONIC METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ESTIMATING THE NONLINEAR SHEAR WAVE ELASTICITY OF A MEDIUM
The invention relates to an ultrasonic method for estimating a nonlinear shear wave elasticity of a medium, the method comprising the following steps: A1. a first collection step in which a first set comprising one shear wave elasticity data point of the medium is collected at a first level of deformation applied to the medium, A2. a second collection step in which a second set comprising one shear wave elasticity data point of the medium is collected at a second level of deformation applied to the medium different to the first level, A3. a deformation estimation step in which the difference of deformation between the first and the second level of deformation is estimated, B1. a calculation step in which a gradient between at least two data points respectively belonging to the first and the second set is calculated as a function of the difference of deformation between the first and the second level of deformation, B2. an elasticity estimation step in which the nonlinear shear wave elasticity of the medium is estimated as a function of the gradient.
ULTRASOUND DETECTION OF CLOTS IN THE BLOODSTREAM
Systems and methods disclosed herein relate to the detection of irregular particles in a blood flow based on a determined relative speed of a particle suspended in a blood flow and/or other properties of a particle suspended in a blood flow including a particle's relative position within a blood vessel and a particles tendency to cluster with other particles suspended in a blood flow. Based on a determined relative speed and/or other relevant factors, the properties of irregular particles may also be measured, including the size, shape, and frequency of irregular particles in a blood flow. Machine learning techniques may be employed to determine patterns for the behavior of irregular particles suspended in a blood flow. These patterns may correspond to particular health risks and conditions.
Ultrasound imaging and therapy device
An ultrasound imaging and therapy device includes an array of concentric annular ultrasound transducers, and an ultrasound imaging device situated inside an innermost transducer of the plurality of concentric annular ultrasound transducers, wherein it further comprises a mechanical linkage allowing a tilting movement of the array of concentric annular ultrasound transducers with respect to the ultrasound imaging device and in that the ultrasound imaging device protrudes in an axial direction from the array of concentric annular ultrasound transducers; whereby the ultrasound imaging device can be kept stationary and in direct or indirect contact with a patient's skin while the array of concentric annular ultrasound transducers is tilted so as to move a focal point of ultrasound waves generated by the concentric annular ultrasound transducers within an imaging region of the ultrasound imaging device.
Ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus, medical image processing apparatus, and non-transitory computer medium storing computer program
The ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus according to the present embodiment includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry is configured to: acquire multiple position data associated with respective multiple two-dimensional image data of ultrasonic related to multiple cross sections; smooth the acquired multiple position data; and arrange the multiple two-dimensional image data in accordance with the smoothed multiple position data to generate volume data.
ULTRASOUND PROBE GUIDANCE
Certain embodiments describe a system, method, and apparatus for ultrasound imaging. For example, the system can include a probe comprising a transducer configured to transmit or receive ultrasound waves. The system can also include a display communicatively coupled to the probe and one or more processors. The one or more processors cause the ultrasound system to detect, using the probe, one or more markings of a membrane located on a skin of a patient. The ultrasound system is also caused to determine position of the probe based on the one or more markings. In addition, the ultrasound system is caused to render on the display an indication of the position of the probe.
