An electrotechnical core for generating a cold atmospheric pressure or low-pressure plasma for the treatment of human, animal, or technical surfaces. The core has a side facing the surface and a side facing away from the surface and comprises the following layers, starting from the side facing the surface: a first insulation layer, a first electrode structure with a first contact between the first electrode structure and a power supply unit, a second insulation layer to galvanically isolate the first electrode structure and a second electrode structure from one another, wherein the second electrode structure is driven during operation by a voltage signal sufficient to ignite a plasma, a third insulation layer to galvanically isolate the second electrode structure from a third electrode structure, wherein the third electrode structure grounds the third electrode structure during operation.

A wearable body composition analyzer according to various embodiments of the present disclosure may include an induction part for inducing secretion of bodily liquid while being in contact with a body part, a collection part that collects the bodily liquid secreted, a sensor part that detects a body composition from the bodily liquid collected, and a wearable part to which the induction part and the collection part is detachably attached, wherein the wearable part may be worn on a body. The above-described wearable body composition analyzer may be implemented variously according to embodiments.

A wearable body composition analyzer according to various embodiments of the present disclosure may include an induction part for inducing secretion of bodily liquid while being in contact with a body part, a collection part that collects the bodily liquid secreted, a sensor part that detects a body composition from the bodily liquid collected, and a wearable part to which the induction part and the collection part is detachably attached, wherein the wearable part may be worn on a body. An apparatus for sanitizing is provided. The apparatus includes a housing having a reservoir for retaining sanitizing fluid. The apparatus also includes a holder disposed beneath the housing. The apparatus further includes an applicator pad received by the holder and adapted to be in selective fluid communication with the reservoir. The applicator pad includes a dome-shaped portion having a substantially hemi-spherical shape configured to extend into an interior region of a bell of a stethoscope head when the bell is placed over the dome-shaped portion.

An air gap retractor illumination system includes any suitable retractor such as a McCulloch with a channel in the blade to accommodate an air gap illuminator. The illuminator is preferably made from a suitable light conducting plastic material such as acrylic or polycarbonate or silicone. The illuminator has active portions in which light passes and inactive or dead zones in which light does not pass as a result of the configuration and orientation of the input, output and surfaces of the illuminator. The illuminator is formed to have an air gap surrounding any active portion of the illuminator extending from the light input to the light output portion. The dead zones may include elements to allow the illuminator to securely engage the retractor. The light output portion of the illuminator contains from two to eight output zones, each zone having specially designed output optical structures that control and direct light to escape the illuminator to shine onto a predetermined area of interest or to form one or more predetermined shapes or footprints.

A device is provided for enclosing an extremity of a patient for container efficient wound cleaning and for integrating draping prior to surgery. A loose-fitting flexible container with a flexible seal is provided for enclosing the extremity and treating the extremity in a controlled fashion to reduce or eliminate spillage and unwanted dispersion of antiseptic solution. Sealed to the flexible container is a vacuum packed, folded and rolled sterile surgical drape. The combination of a flexible container and a sterile pre-positioned surgical drape in a single device provides the advantage of controlled decontamination of the skin or wound while simultaneously providing the advantage of pre-positioning a surgical drape. The use of the device also provides the advantages of reduced operating room fires and biohazard dispersion risk and reduced cost by reduction of total operating room time per procedure.

The disposable brush head cartridge has a base configured to be removably attached to a sonic motor drive handle. The disposable brush head cartridge further comprises an upper bristle head sealed with respect to the base by a surrounding disposable cover spaced from the bristles. The cover defines a reservoir of pre-surgical skin cleaning fluid, in a first form soaking or pre-moistening the brush bristles until the cover is removed, and in a second form stored in a separate fluid-tight compartment in the cover and combined with the brush bristles after the cover is removed.

A device used for applying an antiseptic preparation, such as an antibiotic solution or water, or all other substance deemed necessary in treating a wound prior to arrival at a hospital or other treatment facility or for continuing wound therapy and maintenance while hospitalized, in an out-patient facility or at home. A loose-fitting bag is provided which encloses the wound by securing the open end(s) to the patient by closing means. The bag further includes ports or resealable flaps that allow access to the wound for treatment and cleaning while containing all fluids resulting therefrom. A high friction scrub surface is provided in the bag. A method and apparatus are also provided for wound maintenance with a lavage system.
