Dental implement
A dental implement is disclosed that includes a proximal end portion; a distal end portion that includes a cutting head defining at least one cutting surface; and a guide body that is positioned proximally of the cutting head. The guide body defines at least one flute that extends in generally parallel relation to a longitudinal axis of the dental implement and is configured to direct irrigation fluid to a surgical site within a patient.
Drill guide assembly
A drill guide assembly used to guide a drill into the jawbone of a patient during dental surgery includes at least one through going guide bore for guiding the drill, at least one attachment for securing a part of the drill guide assembly to the jaw of the patient during surgery, wherein the drill guide assembly includes a first part including the at least one first through going guide bore, the at least one first attachment and at least a first reference area for referring the first part to a first anatomical feature of the patient, a second part including a second reference area for referring the second part to a second anatomical feature of the patient, and a guiding structure for guiding the first part and the second into a desired configuration.
BONE FOUNDATION GUIDE SYSTEM AND METHOD
The invention could comprise a bone foundation guide system and a method for same, the bone foundation guide system having a bone foundation guide comprising a body that is contoured to reversibly affix to a bone segment of a dental implant surgical site, the body being further contoured accept and to guide the cutting of a portion of the bone segment from a dental implant surgical site and as well as to alternatively support a dental implant surgical guide; the dental implant surgical guide; and a bone foundation guide prosthesis as an alternative to the dental implant surgical guide, the bone foundation guide prosthesis combines with the body to accommodate the bone segment portion as placed through the body prior to the bone segment portion being removed from the dental implant site through the use of the body.

The bone foundation guide prosthesis combines with the body to accommodate the bone segment portion as placed through the body prior to the bone segment portion being removed from the dental implant site through the use of the body.
POSITIONING AND INSTALLING SURGICAL DRILLING DEVICES AND RELATED DEVICES AND SYSTEMS
In some aspects, dental drill guides can include a body defining an outer surface and an interior hole for receiving and positioning a dental drill; a first end of the body defining a tapered lead-in portion of the outer surface; a second end of the body opposite the first end defining at least one lip feature configured to be gripped by a handling tool; an outer circumferentially formed recess around the outer surface; and a seating feature extending from the outer surface.

CONTROL GUIDE FOR CHECKING PLACEMENT OF AT LEAST TWO DENTAL ELEMENTS
A computer-implemented method includes obtaining a digital 3D representation of a patient's jaw comprising a first and second target location, providing a digital first dental element and a digital second element, respectively being digital 3D representations of a first dental element for placement on the first target location and a second dental element for placement on the second target location, arranging the digital first dental element on the digital representation of the first target location and the digital second dental element on the digital representation of the second target location, determining contact surfaces of the first and second dental element based on an insertion direction of the digital control guide design, and generating a digital control guide design comprising a digital 3D representation of the gum facing surface of the control guide based on a part of the contact surfaces of both the at least first and second dental element.
SURGICAL TEMPLATE FOR DENTAL AND/OR ORTHODONTIC IMPLANTS AND METHOD FOR DESIGNING A SURGICAL TEMPLATE
A computer-aided method for designing a surgical template for dental and/or orthodontic implants comprises acquiring a first 2D or 3D image of the oral cavity and of the overlying anatomical structures of a patient, processing the first image for defining one or more second 2D images showing corresponding views or sections of the oral cavity, realizing a digital model of the upper dental arch and of the palate of the patient to identify one or more suitable sites for inserting a corresponding implant, selecting one or more slices of the digital model at one or more sagittal or parasagittal planes passing through respective insertion sites, overlapping the slices with corresponding second 2D images for generating a third 2D image, providing a digital library of implants for the selection thereof and for their virtual positioning into the third image in order to allow the adjustment of the inclination and/or the deepness of insertion. A surgical template for dental and/or orthodontic implants suitable to be manufactured with the above method.
COMPONENTS FOR USE WITH A SURGICAL GUIDE FOR DENTAL IMPLANT PLACEMENT
The present invention relates to dental components used for guiding the insertion of a dental implant into a desired location in a patient's mouth using a surgical guide including a master tube. The present invention includes various components that can be used with the surgical guide and during a dental procedure using the surgical guide.
EDENTULOUS SURGICAL GUIDE
A dental surgical drill guide assembly and method includes a surgical guide housing and a base frame that fits to both gum tissue and one or multiple small areas of jawbone. The apparatus may be configured to accurately place dental implants according to planned positions. Such apparatus may increase the stability of the surgical guide by clasping and/or contacting the jawbone, while improving the overall fit and minimizing the need of invasive surgery and flapping by also clasping and/or contacting selected areas of the gum tissue at the same time. Self-locking alignment members aid in easy removal, and re-installation, of the surgical guide housing to the base frame.
