An apparatus includes a dental model coupling portion and a base plate adapter coupling portion. The dental model coupling portion is configured to couple with a dental model. The base plate adapter coupling portion includes a body and a set of prongs extending from the body. The body is fixedly secured relative to the dental model coupling portion. The prongs are configured to removably secure the base plate adapter coupling portion to a base plate adapter of a dental model articulator. A base plate adapter includes a first side and a second side opposite the first side. The first side is configured to removably couple with the base plate adapter coupling portion. The second side is configured to removably couple with a dental model articulator.

A dental articulator is provided in which at least one of the two arms thereof has a base member that is articulated with respect to a bracket element onto which a dental model may be mounted, allowing independent movement of the dental model with respect to the pivot axis hingedly linking the arms.

The Modular system for the realization of orthodontic Gipsoteca models with the faithful tilting of the individual occlusal plane and mobile and fixed prostheses and other orthodontic aids such as bites or splints, comprises a first module consisting of a supporting device (1) and additional aids, such as bases, muffles, little frames, curved and flat plates, a base for the transfer of static relationships between the dental arches, the individual face bow and the injection piston, suitable to make up, in combination with the device (1), additional modules. Provided is a dental model in which a model tooth having a root portion similar to an actual tooth is attachable to and detachable from a gum portion, and an articulator. A dental model 1 according to the present disclosure includes: a gum portion 12 in which an insertion hole 20 to which a model tooth 50 is to be inserted is provided; and a lid portion 18 provided on an oral side of the insertion hole 20 in the gum portion 12, in which the lid portion 18 constitutes a part of the gum portion 12 in a closed state, and provides a recess portion 18b that is continuous from the insertion hole 20 and exposes at least a part of a root portion of the model tooth in an opened state, and in which the lid portion 18 is configured to be opened and closed relative to another portion of the gum portion 12.

A device for making, duplicating and fixing dental models in articulator, using dental replicas (19) of plaster or other material with bases (20) for the manufacture of dental models (18). The device incorporates at least three pins (3) that have elements to be embedded in the bases (20) in charge of said pins (3) for positioning and fixing the dental models (18) to platens (7) that have a minimum of three protruding protrusions (8) on its surface and arranged to fit with the pins (3) and, where appropriate, provide a releasable connection with the pins (3). A base plate adapter includes a first side and a second side opposite the first side. The first side is configured to removably couple with the base plate adapter coupling portion. The second side is configured to removably couple with a dental model articulator.

A dental articulator (10) includes a lower base (12) having two support arms (28) extending therefrom. Each support arm (28) includes an upper end with an opening (30) therein. Each opening (30) is adapted to receive a fixed-angle temporomandibular joint assembly (32) having a fixed horizontal condyle angle or an adjustable-angle temporomandibular joint assembly (34) having an adjustable horizontal condyle angle. A dental articulator kit may initially include only a pair of fixed-angle temporomandibular joint assemblies (32) with the pair of adjustable-angle temporomandibular joint assemblies (34) available to be acquired by a user at a later time.

This invention is directed to a positioning jig for preparing a two or more of adjacent teeth for a dental prosthesis comprising a member with (i) three or more parallel bores in the member and (ii) one or more means to attach the member to a dental articulator.
