Device for Simulating Lower Jaw Activity
The present invention is a device for simulating lower jaw activity. The device can be utilized in cooperation with an artificial intelligent lower jaw occlusion and attitude recording device. The device comprises a base, an upper jaw tooth mold, an opening and closing rotating platform, a left and right rotating platform, a horizontal rotating platform, a front-back shifting platform and a lower jaw tooth mold. The present invention makes it possible to make lower jaw moving forward and backward, opening and closing (pitch), tilting left and right (yaw), in place rotating (yaw), and etc. Then, according to the data obtained by the artificial intelligent lower jaw occlusion and attitude recording device, the lower jaw activities concluded through the reverse engineering by means of the present invention facilitates production of accurate intra-oral device, and can be applied to unknown complex actions in dental medical research, such as occlusion, bruxism, swallowing, sounding, and etc.
Animal dentistry apparatus and methods
An animal dentistry apparatus is provided and comprises a jaw assembly. The jaw assembly comprises a lower jaw and an upper jaw, and is configured such that the lower jaw and the upper jaw can move apart and together in a mastication action. The upper and lower jaw comprise at least one tooth. The apparatus further comprises a means, such as a motor, to effect the mastication action. The animal dentistry apparatus may be used to assess a chewable product, and such methods are also provided.
System and Method for Making Dental/Medical Devices Using Patient Mouth as Articulator
Creating a replacement tooth or set of teeth by using the patient's mouth as an intra-oral articulator. Also, a medical appliance can be created by using the patient's mouth as an intra-oral articulator. A mechanism is fitted within the patient's mouth which can hold one or more replaceable teeth. The dentist adjusts the size, color, location and placement of the teeth within the patient's mouth until a best fit is achieved. Then, the device, with the artificial and temporary teeth secured thereto, is further processed into a final replacement tooth (teeth). Also, the present system can be used for any dental or medical appliance in or about the mouth, i.e., using the mouth of the patient as the intra-oral articulator will result in superior results.
Disposable mouth articulation system
System, components and method for creating a set of dentures using the patient's mouth as an intra-oral articulator by use of an upper and/or lower disposable dental impression tray for creating the impression of the edentulous or partial edentulous mouth, the trays having a horizontal support bar and an upwardly extending short wall, with ridges, for mechanically accepting waxed backs of artificial teeth thereto. A screw with partial palatal tray can be secured through an aperture of the horizontal support bar and locked in place.
Apparatus and Method to Design Dentures
A method and apparatus for the design and manufacture of dentures wherein the number of office visits that a patient must attend in order to develop and obtain dentures is reduced. In one embodiment, during a first visit, final impressions and a measurement of the patient's upper lip is obtained. In one embodiment, a lab then creates a denture base and applies tooth replicas. In one embodiment, this is done using a physical fabrication aid of an embodiment of the present invention. Alternatively, the denture base can be created from a digital representation, and the denture base is then preferably sized and adjusted during the patient's second visit before final dentures are created and provided to the patient during the patient's third visit.
Components, system and method for making dentures in a single visit
Creating a denture by using the patient's mouth as an intra-oral articulator by use of an upper and/or lower dental impression tray for creating the impression of the edentulous mouth, the trays having platforms or support surfaces which magnetically hold a main frame therebetween. The orientation of the main frame is adjustable and lockable with respect to the lower tray all while within the mouth. Once the main frame is located and locked in place, artificial teeth formed with holding wax and a rearwardly extending fork are slid into a slot of the main frame and also locked. The wax holding the artificial teeth is then melted to integrate the teeth with formed respective upper and lower custom trays.
