PROCESS FOR MAKING A REINFORCING STRUCTURE FOR DENTAL PROSTHESES IN CONTINUOUS FIBER COMPOSITE MATERIALS
20230011023 · 2023-01-12 · ·

A process for making a reinforcing structure (20) for dental prostheses in continuous fiber composite materials is described, comprising the steps of: —a) obtaining a digital three-dimensional model (2) of the patient's palate by means of a three-dimensional scan; —b) defining an operative outline (3;3′) through an offset of at least one portion of said three-dimensional model (2); —c) obtaining a path for at least one height hi of said three-dimensional model, said path being arranged inside said operative outline (3:3′); —d) depositing a continuous filiform element according to said path (9).

Dental Device With Speech Recognition

A dental device with a speech recognition module is provided, which is connected to a control device that controls at least part of the functions of the dental device. Based on the recognition result, the speech recognition module triggers a selected function of the dental device via the control device and has at least one microphone. An output module outputs information about the triggered function. The speech recognition module continuously listens via the microphone and has a code word module that activates or leaves active speech recognition for the temporally successive words when a code word is recognized and attempts to recognize them as predetermined control words each assigned to a function.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR THE DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF PROVISIONAL AND PERMANENT CROWNS

A method for preparing a tooth crown may include generating a 3D model of an external surface of a patient's tooth and generating a 3D model of an external surface of a first crown based on the 3D model of the external surface of the patient's tooth. The method may also include preparing the patient's tooth to receive the first crown while generating the 3D model of the external surface. A 3D model of the prepared tooth my be generated. A 3D model of an internal surface of the first crown may also be generated. The 3D model of the external surface and the 3D model of the internal surface may form a 3D model of the first crown.

Systems and methods for improved visual prosthetic and orthodontic treatment planning are provided herein. In some aspects, a method for preparing a tooth of a patient is disclosed. The method may comprise building a model of a dentition of the patient including a model of the initial shape of tooth. The method may also include determining a final prepared shape of the tooth. In some aspects, the method may also include generating a treatment plan comprising a plurality of steps to modify the initial shape of the tooth to the final prepared shape of the tooth. The method may also include rendering visualizations for the plurality of steps of the treatment plan. The visualizations may depict the removal of tooth material to modify the initial shape of the tooth to the final prepared shape of the tooth.

USING A CBCT BONE SCAN TO DESIGN A DENTAL ABUTMENT

Disclosed is a method of creating a digital abutment design of a customized dental abutment, the including comprising: obtaining a bone scan comprising a digital representation of at least a part of a patient's jaw including the surface of the jawbone; and designing the digital abutment design of the customized dental abutment; wherein the design of the digital abutment design is at least partly based on fulfilling a set of predefined design criteria including the relationship between the digital representation of the jawbone and the digital abutment design.

HISTORICAL SCAN REFERENCE FOR INTRAORAL SCANS
20180005371 · 2018-01-04 ·

During an intraoral scan session, a processing device receives a plurality of intraoral images of a dental site. The processing device determines that a historical template of the dental site is existent and registers a first intraoral image of the plurality of intraoral images to the historical template at a first region of the dental site depicted in the historical template. The processing device may register one or more remaining intraoral images of the plurality of intraoral images to the historical template at a second region of the dental site depicted in the historical template. The first region may be separated from the second region.

HIGH STRENGTH THREE DIMENSIONAL FABRICATING MATERIAL SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PRODUCING DENTAL PRODUCTS

This invention relates to printable high strength/toughness polymerizable material systems for making dental products such as artificial teeth, dentures, splints, veneers, inlays, onlays, orthodontic appliances, aligners, copings, frame patterns, crowns and bridges and the like. A DLP, stereolithography, modified or their modification and combination based printer is used to cure polymerizable material in several different methods of this invention to build-up the object. The resulting three-dimensional object has good dimensional stability.
