SET OF LAYER-SPECIFIC MOLDING MATRICES
The invention relates to a computer-implemented method for providing a set of layer-specific molding matrices for reconstructing layer-by-layer one or more teeth of a set of teeth in a patient’s oral cavity. The set of layer-specific molding matrices comprises two or more layer-specific molding matrices. Each of the layer-specific molding matrices is configured for being arranged on the set of teeth and for casting a different layer of the one or more teeth to be reconstructed with a layer-specific reconstruction material inserted into the respective layer-specific molding matrix. The respective layer-specific molding matrix defines a 3D geometric form of the respective layer being casted.
Oral device, manufacturing apparatus and methods of making the same
A custom oral device is provided that fits on the maxillary or mandibular arch of a wearer. The oral device comprises a tray that corresponds with the shape and size of a wearer's oral anatomy. A soft liner is disposed within an occlusal channel of the tray having an upper surface that comprises an impression having features that correspond to at least a portion of the wearer's dentition and in which the wearer's teeth align. An apparatus and a method for making the custom oral device are provided.
Dental devices and systems and methods for making the same
Dental devices and systems and methods for making the same are provided. In at least one embodiment, a method for fabricating an arch-shaped device for coupling to a patient's mouth is provided. The method can include adjusting a denture form device to conform to a shape and fit of a patient's mouth. The method can also include using the denture form device to obtain an impression of the patient's mouth. The method can also include selecting an arch device and adapting that arch device to conform to a model of a patient's mouth. The method can also include a denture form device that can be combined with the arch device to form a complete denture.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DENTAL CROWN RESTORATIONS USING PREFABRICATED SLEEVE-CROWN PAIRS
A dental restoration device includes a sleeve having an exterior surface and an interior pocket that is at least partially filled with a dental cement, and a crown having an exterior surface and an interior surface that is mated to the exterior surface of the crown and bonded thereto by an adhesive disposed between the exterior surface of the sleeve and the interior surface of the crown.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MANUFACTURING DENTAL RESTORATIONS
A method and system for manufacturing dental restorations. A mould is immobilized in a fixed orientation. An injection surface is sealed against the mould. Flowable material is injected into the mould and cured to provide a compound stock. Subtractive manufacturing is applied to the compound stock in the fixed orientation to define precise contours in the stock and provide a dental restoration. The stock may be prepared from a blank with subtractive manufacturing while in the fixed orientation. Additional cycles of injecting, setting and subtractive manufacturing of intermediate stocks and moulds may precede subtractive manufacturing to provide the dental restoration. The stock may be immobilized in the fixed orientation in a holder, and the holder used to transfer the stock between injection and subtractive manufacturing. The stock may include asymmetrical features that facilitate immobilizing the stock in the fixed orientation.
DENTAL IMPLANT
Dental implant with a base body made of ceramic anchorable in a jawbone and an implant superstructure attachable to the base body using a screw, wherein in an assembled state of the dental implant, a threaded portion of the screw engages with an inner thread formed in a blind hole of the base body, wherein the implant superstructure is by the screw pressed against the base body and wherein the engagement between the threaded portion of the screw and the internal thread of the blind hole occurs only in a lower half of the base body facing away from the implant superstructure.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A COLD-CASTING MOULD, AND USE OF A COLD-CASTING MOULD FOR THE PRODUCTION OF MOULDED PARTS, IN PARTICULAR DENTURES
A method for producing a cold casting mold (100) for producing dental molded parts (210) from a mixing compound (200), wherein the cold casting mold (100), having a cavity (110) that corresponds geometrically to the dental molded part (210), is additively constructed from a starting material (150) by means of a 3D printing method on the basis of a digital data set based on a three-dimensional model of the oral cavity of a patient and at least one first opening (111) that opens into the cavity (110) for filling with the mixing compound (200). The invention also relates to such an additively constructed cold casting mold (100) for a method for producing dental molded parts (210) from a sinterable or a light-curing mixing compound (200). The cold casting mold (100) is constructed having at least one second opening that opens into the cavity (110) for discharging gases and/or liquids.
Pressure Casting of Submicron Ceramic Particles and Methods of Ejection
Methods and apparatus are provided for pressure casting ceramic bodies. Methods and apparatus are provided for rapid ejection of cast ceramic bodies from a mold. A mold is described that has an impermeable cavity surface to provide dry release of the cast body. Ceramic bodies produced by the methods and apparatus have smooth, non-tacky surfaces after ejection from the mold
