A disposable apparatus for flossing teeth employs a loop of dental floss that has a compound, bidirectional floss movement. A hinged lever tab on the device's frame can be pivoted by hand to move the floss loop.

An automated, hands-free dental floss dispenser is provided herein. Particularly, the dispenser includes a housing and an activation sensor, such as an infrared, motion, or other sensor for detecting the presence of a hand or other object within a dental floss dispensing region and for activating the dispenser. The dispenser further includes a feeding assembly disposed at least partially within the housing, and a dispensing assembly for receiving an amount of dental floss from the feeding assembly. Specifically, the feeding assembly includes a removable and/or replaceable cartridge which at least temporarily retains the dental floss. The dispensing assembly includes a spindle and a spindle activation assembly, wherein the dental floss is fed from the feed assembly to the spindle for dispensing.

An automated, hands-free dental floss dispenser is provided herein. A visual tooth cleaning, grinding and polishing instrument includes a host, an oral observation instrument and a cleaning and polishing tool. The host can drive the cleaning and polishing tool and supply a power source and a control system for an illuminating system, an observation system and the oral observation instrument. A picture shot by a camera of the observation system can be transmitted to a display of the observation system in time, so as to achieve the purposes of cleaning the teeth while observing a process of cleaning the dental calculus, dental plaque and pigmentation on the surface of the teeth with the cleaning and polishing tool and the cleaning effect instantly on a mobile phone, thereby effectively cleaning, grinding and polishing the teeth. A flusher or an electric toothbrush head or other interdental cleaning tools may also be mounted on the host or the oral observation instrument.

A tooth flossing assembly for simultaneously flossing an entire row of teeth includes a mouthpiece that is curved along a longitudinal axis to conform to the curvature of a row of a user's teeth. The mouthpiece has a plurality of engagement points positioned thereon. The engagement points are spaced apart from each other and are distributed along the mouthpiece at locations corresponding to the locations between each tooth in the row of the user's teeth. A plurality of flossing units is provided and each of the flossing units is removably coupled between a respective pair of the engagement points. Each of the flossing units includes a string that slides between a respective pair of the user's teeth when the user pushed up or bites down on the mouthpiece. In this way the plurality of flossing units can simultaneously floss the entire row of teeth.

Disclosed herein is a novel toothbrush design and associated carrying case. In one embodiment the toothbrush may have a handle cylindrical in shape, and may break down into three separable sections, each joinable at threaded joints. One element may be configured to receive a removable bristle assembly. In one embodiment, the toothbrush elements may each be stored in separate compartments in the carrying case. The carrying case may also include a slidably extendible drawer configured to dispense floss. The carrying case may also include separate compartments for storing consumables such as toothpaste tablets and mouthwash tablets.

Embodiments of a floss strip and methods of using the same are disclosed herein. The floss strip can include a flossing filament. The flossing filament can have a first end and a second end. The flossing strip can include a first anchor coupled to the flossing filament at the first end of the flossing filament. The flossing strip can include a second anchor coupled to the flossing filament at the second end of the flossing filament. The flossing filament can couple the first and second anchors. The flossing strip can include a tensioning member attached to the flossing filament at an intermediate location between the first anchor and the second anchor.

An interdental cleaning tool producing method that enables cost reduction is provided. An interdental cleaning tool producing method according to the present invention includes; a first step of preparing a mold provided with at least one first cavity for molding a cleaning tool main body including two supporting pieces that are arranged with a predetermined interval and a handle portion that couples the two supporting pieces and can be held in a hand, the mold being configured such that at least one thread member to span between the two supporting pieces can be arranged in the mold; a second step of arranging the thread member in the mold; a third step of filling the first cavity with a resin material via a gate provided in the mold using a hot runner method; and a fourth step of removing the thread member and the cleaning tool main body fixed to the thread member from the mold.
