Dental tool and dental system

The invention relates to a dental tool having a shank region, which is formed for coupling to a dental handpiece, and also having a work region, which is connected to the shank region. In this case, the shank region of the dental tool is formed so that there is the possibility of latchable insertion and removal without actuation. In particular, at least the shank region can consist of plastics material. As a result, facilitated handling of the tool and inexpensive production of the tool are rendered possible.

Toothbrush with controlled suction and/or irrigation

A toothbrush system configured to be coupled to an external suction source. The toothbrush system includes a shaft with a main body with a first end and a second end, and a bristle array and a suction port arranged at the second end. The bristle array and the suction port both extend away from the shaft so that an opening of the suction port is proximal to a distal end of the bristle array. The shaft also includes a stem arranged at the first end. The stem includes a passageway that extends through the main body to provide a fluid connection to the suction port, and is configured to be coupled to the external suction source. Also, the handle is removably coupled to the shaft and includes a drive system operably coupled to the bristle array to actuate motion of the bristle array.

A teeth cleaning travel kit includes toothbrushing mouthpiece that has two inverted channels dimensioned to receive upper and lower bites of dental arches of a user, the channels being integral with one another. Teeth-cleaning bristles inwardly project within the two inverted channels to bear inwardly against teeth and gums of the user, wherein the channels and teeth-cleaning bristles are configured such that mastication produces relative brushing movement of the teeth-cleaning bristles over the teeth and gums. An oral hygiene promoting product is attached to one of the two inverted channels and the teeth-cleaning bristles that is released by action of the user's mouth. The teeth cleaning travel kit also includes a vessel that contains a rinsing fluid and kit packaging that contains the toothbrushing mouthpiece and vessel.

ELECTRIC TOOTHBRUSH HANDLE AND ELECTRIC TOOTHBRUSH
20170360539 · 2017-12-21 ·

The invention relates to an electric toothbrush handle and an electric toothbrush. The electric toothbrush handle comprises: a shell, in the inner cavity of which at least one light emitting element is arranged; and a shading part, comprising a light transmission plate arranged on the periphery of the at least one light emitting element, and a first coating arranged on the outer surface and/or the inner surface of the light transmission plate; wherein a light transmission area in a set shape is formed at a position corresponding to each light emitting element in the first coating; and the light of the light emitting element is capable of penetrating through the light transmission area so that the shape of the light transmission area is visible via the shell. The electric toothbrush handle can avoid damage and even failure of a display mark due to wear thereof.

ORAL CARE DEVICE AND METHOD

An oral care device has a field generator adapted to generate an electric field in a mouth of a user, responsive to an input control signal. The electric field is for imparting a force upon particles forming a biofilm to be removed by the oral care device or upon cleaning agent particles. A cyclic control signal is generated for intermittent generation of an electric field at a first RF frequency. The use of an intermittent generation of an RF electric field means the force applied to particles (in particular polarized particles) by the field is itself cyclic. The cyclic nature of this applied force is found to be more effective in the disintegration of a biofilm to be removed, and hence makes subsequent mechanical removal, e.g. by brushing, easier.
