Methods and kits for removing calculus using a non-enzymatic, hydrogen peroxide decomposition catalyst
Methods and kits for removing calculus from a tooth, wherein the method can include applying a component A to the tooth, wherein component A comprises a hydrogen peroxide or a precursor thereto; applying a component B to the tooth, wherein component B comprises a non-enzymatic, hydrogen peroxide decomposition catalyst for generating oxygen gas; wherein components A and B are applied simultaneously or sequentially to the tooth, thereby generating oxygen gas to soften and/or loosen at least part of the calculus on the tooth; and removing at least a part of the calculus from the tooth.
DENTAL APPARATUS
A dental apparatus for tooth stain removal comprising an elongate body formed of a single piece of plastic. The dental apparatus comprising a distal portion of the body having a distal end for contacting a tooth, wherein the distal portion is pointed and angled relative to an axial direction of the body for contacting and removing stains from a tooth. The dental apparatus further comprising a proximal portion of the body configured to attach onto an electric toothbrush drive mechanism such that driving of the electric toothbrush drive mechanism causes the distal portion of the body to vibrate.

INSERT ASSEMBLY WITH RADIOFREQUENCY IDENTIFIER FOR MEDICAL DEVICE
An insert assembly has an insert having an insert metal tang, and a radiofrequency identifier having a ferromagnetic layer in contact with the insert metal tang and including ferromagnetic material, a dielectric layer in contact with the ferromagnetic layer, an insert antenna in contact with the dielectric layer and having an insert antenna metal element extending along a planar profile for receiving and transmitting electromagnetic fields, and an identification chip operatively connected to the insert antenna for transmitting and receiving information about the insert assembly. The ferromagnetic layer reduces or cancels attenuation and/or distortion phenomena of electromagnetic fields. A transceiver device puts the identification chip in wireless communication with a handpiece antenna. The identification chip avoids protruding from a first or outer side of the planar profile. A part of the identification chip protrudes with a chip portion from a second or inner side of the insert antenna metal element. The chip portion is received in a chip seat.
DENTAL TREATMENT TOOL GUIDING DEVICE
A dental treatment tool guiding device (1) is a device for guiding a dental treatment tool (3) to a treatment target position (g) of a tooth (a) to be treated. The dental treatment tool guiding device (1) is provided with a guiding tool (2) that has an inlet port (2a), a hollow portion (2b), and an outlet port (2c) for inserting the dental treatment tool (3) therethrough, and that guides the dental treatment tool (3). The outlet port (2c) is open in a direction different from the introducing direction of the dental treatment tool (3). The hollow portion (2b) extends in a direction from the inlet port (2a) to the tip of the guiding tool (2), and has a tip side curved in the direction of the outlet port (2c).
Dental brush device
A brush device for an ultrasonic scaler includes: a base having a first end and an opposite second end, the first end and the second end define a longitudinal axis of the base; an insert housing extending from the first end of the base, the insert housing defines an opening sized and shaped to receive a distal end of the ultrasonic scaler and secure the brush device thereto; and a cleaning element extending from the second end of the base, the cleaning element is substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis.
Ultrasonic dental tool with wear threshold indicator, wear indicator tool, and method of determining tool wear
A dental ultrasonic tool configured to connect to a magnetostrictive or piezoelectric transducer of a dental instrument operating in the frequency range between 18 kHz and 50 kHz. The tool includes a tip and a singular surface marking having a minimum width of 0.5 mm disposed on the tip. The tip includes a distal point as a datum. The singular surface marking is spaced-apart from the distal point of the tip and defines at least one edge. The at least one edge is not coincident with a first flexural node of the tip at an operating frequency of the tip. Dental ultrasonic tip wear measurement tools for measuring the wear on a tip are also provided.
