DENTITION MOVEMENT TRACK INDICATOR AND TRACING METHOD

The invention provides a dentition movement track indicator and a tracing method. The device includes an intra-oral fixation assembly and an extra-oral movement indicating assembly, wherein the intra-oral fixation assembly includes a lower denture base, a left side retention steel wire, a right side retention steel wire and a positioning steel wire. The lower denture base is arranged on the lingual side of the lower dentition and respectively extends from a lower incisor to the far center of the last tooth on the left side and the right side and clings to the lingual mucous membrane. The left side retention steel wire and the right side retention steel wire are distributed in a left-right symmetry mode. The extra-oral movement indicating assembly includes a connecting rod, an arc rod, an indicating plate and a plurality of rectangular parallelepiped thin rods. According to the dentition movement track indicator, an intra-oral fixation assembly.

Interproximal articulation holder

An interproximal articulation holder (10) has an arm (12) having a handle (11) at one end and an oppositely disposed holding head (16). The holding head is part of a marking portion (13) which also includes a piece of articulation film (18) having a generally rectangular shaped exposed area (18) extending beyond the holding head (16). The arm or holding head may include a score or score line (19) which enables the arm or head to be manually bent at an angle. This arm may also include forming notches (20) to aid in the bending process. The handle, arm and holding head may be formed of two or more outer layers of stock paper (21) laminated together with an inner layer of the wax coated articulation film positioned or sandwiched between the stock paper layers.

A clutch apparatus includes a mandibular clutch device and a maxillary clutch device. The mandibular clutch device includes a mandibular clutch configured to be affixed to mandibular teeth, a mandibular face bow connected to the mandibular clutch, and first and second collimated light sources connected to the mandibular face bow. The maxillary clutch device includes a maxillary clutch configured to be affixed to maxillary teeth, a maxillary face bow connected to the maxillary clutch, and first and second position-sensitive diodes (PSDs) connected to the maxillary face bow. Each of the mandibular and maxillary face bow is selectively adjustable to position the first and second light sources and the first and second PSDs in a plurality of positions. In an example, the mandibular and maxillary face bow are selectively adjustable to position the first and second light sources and the first and second PSDs proximate right and left bicuspid regions or proximate the actual physiologic axis of rotation of the mandible.

METHOD OF ESTABLISHING UPPER BOUNDARY FOR DENTAL PROSTHETIC

A method is used to provide a dental prosthetic with an upper boundary that cannot be seen when a patient smiles with the dental prosthetic installed. The method includes tracing a smile line on a dental appliance while the dental appliance is in the patient's mouth and while the patient is smiling. The method then includes transferring that smile line from the dental appliance to a study cast of the patient's mouth. The study cast is then scanned to create a three-dimensional digital model that includes the transferred smile line. The three-dimensional digital model is used to generate a surgical plan and surgical hardware for installation of the dental prosthetic. The dental prosthetic may include a full arch restoration.

TRACKING PIECES FOR TRACKING MOVEMENTS OF HARD TISSUE OF A JAW

The invention relates to tracking pieces (110) used in the context of tracking movements of hard tissue of a jaw. According to the invention, a tracking piece (110) to be used in such context is designed to be patient-specific by including in the design of the tracking piece (110) a surface model representing a part of a person's intraoral anatomy, which surface model is generated based on imaging results acquired by imaging the anatomy.

Tracking a dental movement

It is described an arrangement (230, 330, 430, 530) and a method for tracking a movement of an upper jaw (100) relative to a lower jaw (120), the arrangement comprising: a lower mounting structure (231) mountable relative to the lower jaw (120); at least one lower motion sensor system (233) mounted at the lower mounting structure; and at least one data transmission unit (127) adapted to transmit measurement data (245) from the lower motion sensor system to an analysis unit (239).
