Radiopaque dental composition
The invention relates to a radiation-curable radiopaque dental composition comprising a resin matrix comprising cross-linkable component(s) as Component A, ethylenically unsaturated component(s) with acidic moiety as Component B, an initiator system comprising photoinitiator(s) as Component C, reducing agent(s) as Component D, Component A containing at least two (meth)acrylate moieties and a brominated aromatic moiety selected from brominated resorcinol, catechol, tyrosol, benzoic acid, or phenol moieties. The composition can be used for producing an x-ray visible dental adhesive composition, restoration primer or dental sealant.
Method for manufacturing surgical guide and crown, abutment in mouth for dental implant
Provided is a method for manufacturing a surgical guide, and a crown and an abutment in a mouth for a dental implant, including an operation of obtaining a primarily scanned image through scanning of inner and outer surfaces of a denture which has a first image matching groove matched with a patient's tooth implanting portion and in which a plurality of reference markers are attached to an outside, obtaining a secondarily scanned image through oral scanning of upper and lower jaws while the denture is installed, preliminarily matching the secondarily scanned image with the primarily scanned image, obtaining an integrated scanned image considering a vertical dimension by reversing the first image matching groove so that an image of the first image matching groove is dimensionalized from the primarily scanned image, and obtaining a CT image through CT scanning of the upper and lower jaws.
CUSTOMIZED ROOT CANAL OBTURATION CORES AND METHODS OF MAKING CUSTOMIZED ROOT CANAL OBTURATION CORES
A core for obturating a root canal includes a body that has a pre-formed contour that closely matches a contour of the root canal. When the core is inserted in the root canal with or without sealer, there are essentially no voids in the root canal. A method of making a customized root canal obturation core includes generating a three-dimensional image of a root canal. The method also includes manufacturing the customized root canal obturation core based on the three-dimensional image of the root canal. The customized root canal obturation core has a preformed contour that closely matches a contour of the root canal such that when the core is inserted in the root canal with or without sealer there are essentially no voids in the root canal.
Customizable dental device
The present invention relates to a dental device adapted to be connected to a dental implant fixture, wherein the device at least comprises an scan body comprising polyether ether ketone (PEEK) adapted to be connected to the dental implant fixture and adapted to be captured by a scanning device, and a customizable gingiva body mounted to the scan body in a fixed position, wherein the gingiva body comprises a thermoplastic polymer adapted to be captured by a scanning device and at least partially comprising a polymer comprising a melting point of ≥35° C. and ≤80° C. In addition, the invention relates to a process for the production of a customized dental model and the use of a digital model obtained by the inventive process to produce customized crown models.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ORTHODONTIC ARCHWIRES FOR MALOCCLUSIONS
A method and system for optimizing stiffness of an orthodontic archwire for a tooth malocclusion of a patient with a computer system, the method including: constructing a model of a patient's teeth in the computer system; inputting material properties of the archwire to the computer system; and determining an adjusted stiffness of a first section of the orthodontic archwire, the first section associated with the tooth malocclusion of the patient. In some cases, the adjusted stiffness may be determined based on different variables associated with the patient's teeth, which may include at least one of interbracket distance, malocclusion magnitude, bracket slot size, wire size, teeth size or extent of stiffness modification of the archwire.
IMPLANT POSITIONING DEVICE FOR AN ORTHODONTIC BRACE
An implant positioning device is fitted on to an orthodontic brace of a patient and used in between an X-ray projecting machine and an X-ray film. The implant positioning device includes a measuring standard member, that forms a detection region by means of a radiopaque material and has a positioning unit on one side of the detection region. The detection region is provided with at least one set of measuring scales. An encircled member is integrated with one side of the measuring standard member and forms an encircling main body that is connected to the orthodontic brace. A sleeved space is collectively formed by the encircling main body and the measuring standard member.
TRANSPARENT AND RADIO-OPAQUE RETENTION PIN
A dental retention pin made of composite material includes a core consisting of fibers embedded in a resin matrix. The fibers, which have a refractive index (n), are radio-opaque, and the refractive index (n′) of the resin forming the matrix has a value close to that of the fibers.
Method for creating a virtual oral-maxillofacial anatomical representation
The invention could be a process for creating a dental anatomical representation comprising the following steps, seating radiopaque elastomer material between an upper jaw and a lower jaw of a mouth of a patient, the patient then fully biting down upon the radiopaque elastomer material to form the radiopaque elastomer material into a physical record of at least a portion of each of the two jaws and each jaw's position relative to the other jaw; taking a first scan of the patient's mouth with the formed radiopaque elastomer material in place between the jaws; and creating a virtual representation of the formed radiopaque elastomer material from data presented in the first scan, then using the virtual representation to align and correlate data obtained from the first scan and any other scans of a patient's anatomy.
SURGICAL GUIDE PLATE AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR
Disclosed are a surgical guide plate and a preparation method therefor. The preparation method comprises the following steps: a) bonding a radiation-blocking material onto an oral mucosa, and putting on an occlusal rim; b) carrying out CBCT photographing to acquire CBCT data carrying information of the radiation-blocking material; c) acquiring STL data of an oral cavity surface; d) matching the CBCT data with the STL data; e) loading occlusal rim data; f) carrying out intelligent tooth arrangement; and g) designing an implant, and generating a surgical guide plate. By means of the preparation method, the level of comfort of a patient can be increased, preparatory processes are reduced, a radiation guide plate does not need to be made, the number of return visits is reduced, the clinical medical cost is reduced, the precision of a surgical guide plate is increased, the software design time is reduced, and the treatment experience is improved.
Dental Post
The invention relates to a dental post formed from a composite of fibers and a matrix material, wherein X-ray markers are embedded in the matrix material and the X-ray markers are formed from visible and/or UV light reflective material. According to another aspect of the invention, the X-ray markers are concentrated in a central region of the dental post. The dental post has very good mechanical properties and allows visible and/or UV light to pass through to cure an adhesive disposed on the dental post.
