PRODUCTION METHOD FOR MACHINABLE ZIRCONIA COMPOSITE SINTERED BODY, RAW MATERIAL COMPOSITION FOR MACHINABLE ZIRCONIA COMPOSITE SINTERED BODY, AND MACHINABLE ZIRCONIA COMPOSITE PRE-SINTERED BODY
A method that enables fabrication of a machinable zirconia composite sintered body that is machinable in a sintered state while maintaining properties suited for dental use, in a shorter time than it is possible with conventional methods. A method for producing a machinable zirconia composite sintered body by fabricating a molded body with a raw material composition that includes 78 to 95 mol % of ZrO.sub.2 and 2.5 to 10 mol % of Y.sub.2O.sub.3, and also includes 2 to 8 mol % of Nb.sub.2O.sub.5 and/or 3 to 10 mol % of Ta.sub.2O.sub.5, and in which ZrO.sub.2 predominantly includes a monoclinic crystal system and sintering the molded body.
DENTAL IMPLANT UNIT AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
The present invention relates to an implant unit, particularly, a dental implant unit for mitigating impact which may be substituted for a natural tooth, the dental implant unit including: a crown; an abutment which has one side coupled to the crown; and a fixture which is coupled to the other side of the abutment, in which at least one of the abutment and the fixture has an elastic layer that is cut out in one direction, and also relates to a dental implant unit including: a crown; an implant structural body which has one side coupled to the crown, and the other side implanted from a gingiva to an alveolar bone, in which the implant structural body has an elastic layer that is cut out to have multiple layers.
ZIRCONIA COMPOSITION, ZIRCONIA SEMI-SINTERED BODY AND ZIRCONIA SINTERED BODY, AS WELL AS DENTAL PRODUCT
There are provided zirconia composition, zirconia semi-sintered body and zirconia sintered body, and dental product in which defect-generation is suppressed and transparency varies. The zirconia sintered body contains 4 mol % to 7 mol % of yttria as stabilizer. The zirconia sintered body contains shielding material. The zirconia sintered body comprises first region and second region having a higher content ratio of the shielding material than the first region. Difference between content ratio of yttria in the first region and that of yttria in the second region is 1 mol % or less.
COATING OF DENTAL PROSTHETIC SURFACES COMPRISING A DISTINCT LAYER OF A SYNTHETIC HYDROXYAPATITE
Subject matter of the invention are prosthetic mouldings, which have, at least area by area, at least one layer of biomimetic apatite selected from fluorapatite, hydroxylapatite or their mixtures on their surface, wherein the surface of the mouldings has micromechanical anchoring positions at least in this area to improve mechanical connection of apatite to the surface. Another subject matter of the invention are mouldings for use in dental, prosthetic treatment for tooth loss, in particular for cellular attachment of cells to prosthetic mouldings. Moreover, subject matter of the invention is the method for the production of the prosthetic mouldings.
Dental mill blank and method for producing same
The present invention provides a dental mill blank that exhibits desirable resistance against wear in opposing teeth. The present invention relates to a dental mill blank comprising: an inorganic filler containing an inorganic filler (A) and an inorganic filler (B); and a polymer, the inorganic filler (A) partly forming an aggregate, and the dental mill blank satisfying the following formulae (I) to (III),
0.001≤a<0.32 (I)
0.3≤b≤10 (II)
5≤x≤80 (III),
where a is an average primary particle diameter of the inorganic filler (A) in micrometers, b is an average primary particle diameter of the inorganic filler (B) in micrometers, and x is an average particle diameter of the aggregate in micrometers. Preferably, the dental mill blank comprises an island component containing the aggregate, and a sea component containing the inorganic filler (A) and the inorganic filler (B).
COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR INHIBITION AND INTERRUPTION OF BIOFILM FORMATION
Compositions and methods for inhibiting and interrupting biofilm formation, and for destabilizing established biofilms are provided, the novel compositions including polymeric resins and monomeric non-polymerizable and polymerizable resins. More particularly, the compositions and methods enable the protection and removal of biofilms from surfaces in the context of medical, consumer, domestic, food service, environmental and industrial applications, where the effects constitute beneficial and desirable biofilm attenuating activity.

PROCESS FOR PRODUCING A SURFACE-MODIFIED DENTAL ARTICLE
The invention relates to a process of producing a surface-modified non-metallic dental article, the process comprising the steps of providing a non-metallic dental article having an outer and an inner surface, applying a curable composition on the inner surface of the dental article (to form a layer of the curable composition on the inner surface), applying particles on the curable composition located on the inner surface of the dental article to achieve a surface roughness Ra of 1 to 30 μm, curing the applied curable composition, the chemical composition of the curable composition being different from the chemical composition of the dental article. The invention also relates to a surface-modified non-metallic dental article obtained or obtainable by such a process and a kit of parts comprising such a surface-modified non-metallic dental article and a dental cement.
TOOTH AND BONE RESTORATION VIA PLASMA DEPOSITION
A natural and sustainable material is derived from the nut of the tagua palm tree that may be fashioned into devices for humans and animals. A pulverized and reconstituted material is disclosed herein that is also treated with a low temperature atmospheric plasma treatment. In an embodiment, a biocompatible carrier gas is ionized to form a biocompatible atmospheric plasma stream. Material, such as nano-scale powdered hydroxyapatite, is introduced into the plasma stream, which is then applied to the natural nut material.
COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR ADHESION TO SURFACES
The present disclosure features adhesive compositions and methods of use thereof related to the medical, veterinary, and dental fields.
