FIXED HYBRID DENTAL ATTACHMENT ASSEMBLY AND METHODS OF USE
Dental assemblies comprising a dental appliance are provided herein. Contemplated dental appliances can comprise a first recess and a second recess, a first cap for securing in the first recess and a second cap for securing in the second recess, a first abutment member for attaching to a first tooth root, implant, or adjacent tooth, and a second abutment member for attaching to a second tooth root, implant, or adjacent tooth. A first retention member sized for engagement within the first cap may be provided, the first retention member having a first end and a continuous, unbroken skirt extending from the first end defining an inner surface for engagement over the outer locating surface of the first abutment member, and the retention member being constructed from a rigid material such that it provides a retentive force of about 10 to 75 pounds.
ANCHORAGE DEVICE FOR DENTAL PROSTHESES
A device for anchoring to the upper jaw bone dental prostheses of the upper dental arch using a plurality of intraosseous screws each provided with a thread and a bottom shank. A crosspiece with a plurality of nuts corresponding to the number of intraosseous screws are connected together by means of spacers, each nut having a female thread corresponding to the thread of a respective intraosseous screw. A lock nuts corresponding to the number of intraosseous screws are each provided with a female thread in turn corresponding to the thread of the respective screw. The crosspiece is designed to be inserted and housed, during use, in the maxillary sinus and the each screw is inserted inside a respective hole through the bone underneath the maxillary sinus so that it projects beyond the inner cortex of the bone and is inserted inside the respective nut of the crosspiece.
DEVICE FOR RETRACTING SOFT TISSUE FOR APPOSITIONAL BONE RECONSTRUCTION
A titanium screw that permits the adaptation of PEEK (polyether ether ketone) capsules at both ends, enabling vertical and horizontal, uni or bidirectional appositional bone reconstructions. The screw has a length selected between 6, 8 and 10 mm; whereas the PEEK capsules have a diameter of 4.5 mm and a height of 1.5 mm. Accordingly, it is possible to retract the soft tissue and maintain the space necessary for bone reconstruction. By minimizing compression to the bone graft, this device optimizes tissue reconstruction, oftentimes crucial for the placement of implants.
Method and system for provisioning of dental implants and related services
The present invention relates to a system and method for dental implant and restorative services. By locating the key functions at one physical location, dental implant services are efficiently provided to patients. These functions include a treatment coordinator, a direct marketer, a restorative doctor/prosthodontist, a surgeon, an imaging area, and a dental laboratory, Further, services for dentate patients are improved by utilizing advanced dental implant methods and systems. These methods and systems include both model-based services and CT (computed tomography) guided surgery services. Using these services, improved surgical guides for dental implants are constructed.
Dental implant
A dental implant adapted for implanting within a jaw bone, the implant comprising a horizontally-oriented body having a length extending in the mesial-distal direction of the jaw bone, the body having a threaded cavity dimensioned for receiving a prosthetic abutment, and wherein the cavity comprises an opening that is located wholly within a buccolingual width of the body.
Apparatus and method for a transalveolar dental implant
The present disclosure relates to single tooth or full arch dental restoration. In cases where patients have insufficient bone stock for conventional root-form dental implants, current solutions often fail to restore function. The present disclosure describes a transalveolar dental implant for single tooth or full arch dental restoration. The transalveolar dental implant is comprised of a post and a bone plate, the bone plate having a contoured portion fabricated to match the topography of a bony surface of the facial skeleton. Through primary fixation of the contoured portion of the bone plate, the transalveolar dental implant improves function and outcomes in affected patients.
CONTROL GUIDE FOR CHECKING PLACEMENT OF AT LEAST TWO DENTAL ELEMENTS
A computer-implemented method includes obtaining a digital 3D representation of a patient's jaw comprising a first and second target location, providing a digital first dental element and a digital second element, respectively being digital 3D representations of a first dental element for placement on the first target location and a second dental element for placement on the second target location, arranging the digital first dental element on the digital representation of the first target location and the digital second dental element on the digital representation of the second target location, determining contact surfaces of the first and second dental element based on an insertion direction of the digital control guide design, and generating a digital control guide design comprising a digital 3D representation of the gum facing surface of the control guide based on a part of the contact surfaces of both the at least first and second dental element.
ENDOSTEAL HORIZONTALLY PLACED DENTAL IMPLANT SYSTEM AND METHOD
An endosteal horizontally placed non-crestal dental implant system including at least one dental implant having a proximal end, a distal end, an internal architecture, and a helical thread extending along the outside region between the proximal end and the distal end. The one or more implants are configured to be implanted horizontally or near horizontally by way of a non-crestal approach, into a mandible or maxilla and to engage with bone tissue. The system also includes at least one dental implant abutment having a proximal end for attaching to the said dental implant and a distal end configured for the attachment of a dental prosthesis. A method of diagnosis and treatment of edentulism using the endosteal horizontally placed non-crestal dental implant system is also recited.
DENTAL IMPLANT
A multi-component dental implant system designed to improve oral hygiene. The dental implant system may comprise an implant body configured to be insertable into at least a portion of an individual's mouth, a primary or first abutment, a dental prosthesis engagement member, and a housing assembly. In use, the first abutment is designed to engage with and secure to the dental prosthesis engagement member. The housing is configured to secure to or cover the dental prosthesis engagement member. The dental implant system allows an individual to remove a prosthesis without the aid of any special tools or instruments.
CONFIGURATIONS FOR COPINGS AND FOR THE FIBER BAR FOR MANUFACTURING A FIXED DENTAL PROSTHESIS FRAMEWORK AND METHOD FOR OBTAINING SAID FRAMEWORK USING SAID COPINGS AND FIBER BAR
The present invention relates to a combination of configurations for copings and for the fiber bar for manufacturing a dental prosthesis framework, and describes a method for obtaining a dental prosthesis framework using one of the described copings and the fiber bar. The configuration feature applied to the coping is that of providing at least one incorporated hook to accommodate the fiber bar, withstand the stress on the framework and contribute to the adhesiveness of the fiber bar to the coping, also aiding in maintaining the molded shape of the bar whilst it hasn't polymerized. The feature of the fiber bar is that it can be produced from a bundle of parallel fibers that are longitudinally aligned, non-fragmented and covered by a woven glass-fiber jacket, there also optionally being a seam to ensure a flattened cross section.
