ANGULATED SCREW CHANNEL FOR DENTAL IMPLANT
20230119403 · 2023-04-20 ·

The present disclosure describes technical solutions to various technical problems facing generation of an angulated screw channel for dental implant. An improved screw channel model may be generated based on various inputs. The inputs may include dental implant parameters such as a screw channel length and a variable height. The inputs may also include dental screw parameters associated with a dental screw type, such as a screwhead diameter and a screwhead height. Using these inputs, the improved angulated screw channel model may be generated. By generating a model based on these input parameters, the resulting screw channel model allows the dental screw to be inserted and secured while reducing or minimizing a screw hole size and a screw channel volume.

Dental implant

A dental implant adapted for implanting within a jaw bone, the implant comprising a horizontally-oriented body having a length extending in the mesial-distal direction of the jaw bone, the body having a threaded cavity dimensioned for receiving a prosthetic abutment, and wherein the cavity comprises an opening that is located wholly within a buccolingual width of the body.

A dental implant includes an insert element of a titanium-based material inserted and soldered into a blind hole in an anchoring element of a ceramic. The insert element has spacer members to center it in the blind hole, with a uniform circumferential gap space relative to the anchoring element. A portion of the insert element protrudes outwardly beyond an end face of the anchoring element. The blind hole is partly filled with a glass solder, and the insert element is inserted into the blind hole, whereby some of the glass solder is displaced out of the gap space onto the end face of the anchoring element and the protruding portion of the insert element. A thermal soldering process secures the insert element into the anchoring element. The protruding portion of the insert element and remaining excess solder are removed to form a planar surface.

Bone coupling device and method

A bone coupling device is configured for joining a first bone piece to a second bone piece which includes a first component having an inner surface bounding a first cavity and a first stem portion for insertion into the first bone piece. A second component includes a second stem portion for insertion into the second bone piece and an axially extending connector extending from the second stem portion and configured to be inserted into the first cavity. The connector has an outer surface which is complementarily shaped relative to an inner surface to inhibit rotation relative to each other when the connector is received in the cavity to engage the first component and the second component.

Anchoring system for attaching a prosthesis to a human body

The present invention relates to an anchoring system for attaching a prosthesis to a human body, comprising: an anchoring element, an abutment, an abutment screw for attaching the abutment to the anchoring element, the anchoring element comprises a connection area for the abutment, the connection area comprising a press-fit portion such that the abutment is attached to the anchoring element in the connection area by a press-fit connection, wherein the connection area comprises an anti-rotation geometry and the abutment comprising a corresponding mating anti-rotation geometry proximal to the press-fit portion, and where in the connection area comprises a conical portion proximal to the anti-rotational geometry forming a mating geometry for a corresponding conical portion in the through-hole of the abutment.

Cap part for dental scanning

A cap part (1) placed on an interface (100) or on an attachment to act jointly as a scanning post. The cap part has a cavity (2) for housing at least one cylindrical portion (101) with a circular base of the interface or of the attachment. The cap part is configured by a single body having an upper portion (11) formed by a solid head (3) without holes or notches, and a lower portion (12) provided with a longitudinal blind hole forming the cavity (2). The blind hole has a retaining segment (4), the inner wall of which is partially or entirely formed by a concave, cylindrical retaining surface (40) with an elliptical or oval-shaped base for retaining by embedding an essentially cylindrical portion (101) of the interface (100) or of the attachment.

Bone anchor fixture for a medical prosthesis

A screw-shaped anchoring fixture for anchoring a prosthesis in the skull bone. The anchoring fixture comprises a main body configured to be implanted into the bone and a flange configured to function as a stop to prevent the main body from completely penetrating through the bone. The main body comprises a distal tapered apical portion, a first portion, and a second portion. The inner diameter of the second portion is greater than the inner diameter of the first portion. The method for inserting the anchoring fixture includes providing the anchoring fixture, drilling a hole, and inserting the anchoring fixture into the hole until the flange contacts the skull bone, wherein the hole has a diameter that is greater than the inner diameter of the first portion and less than the outer diameter of the second portion.
