Cheek retractor and mobile device holder
The present disclosure provides methods, computing device readable medium, devices, and systems that utilize a cheek retractor and/or a mobile device holder for case assessment and/or dental treatments. One cheek retractor includes a first and a second lip holder, both including imaging markers of a predetermined size to determine a scale of teeth of a user, where each imaging marker is located a predefined distance from the remaining imaging markers, and where the lip holder is to hold a cheek away from a mouth of a user to expose teeth of the user. A mobile device holder can include elements to receive a mobile device to capture images of the patient's teeth.
Denture Bearing Mechanism, Denture Three-Dimensional Scanner and Control Method Thereof
The present disclosure provides a denture bearing mechanism, a denture three-dimensional scanner and a control method thereof. The denture bearing mechanism includes a fixed seat, a bearing table and a driving assembly, where the fixed seat is detachably mounted on a storage table of the denture three-dimensional scanner; the bearing table is arranged on the fixed seat and connected to the driving assemblies; the driving assemblies are used for driving the bearing table to move relative to the fixed seat; and at least two scanning stations for placement of denture models are provided on the bearing table, so that the scanning stations can be mutually switched over in a motion state.
Dental scanning methods for analyzing jaws
Example dental scanning methods for analyzing jaws of a patient involve taking multiple scans of the jaws, and/or models thereof, and then shifting the image of one scan to match that of another. In some examples, fiducial markers are attached to the patient's jaws beforehand to accurately identify and track the relative position of the jaws. The methods provide a way for creating a precise image of an upper jaw and a lower jaw in their proper bite registration, even though the resulting image may show an insufficient number of teeth to readily do so. The final, properly shifted image serves as a virtual 3D jaw model that can be manipulated and analyzed to aid in various orthodontic and other dental treatments.
Dental impression tray for use in obtaining an impression of a dental structure
A dental impression tray, a kit, and method of using the same are provided for taking an impression of at least a portion of a dental structure of a patient. The tray can include a tray portion, fiduciary markers, and can also have a holding section with two opposing sides and fasteners disposed thereon. The kit can include the tray and a handle portion. The handle can be removably secured to the holding section of the tray. In some embodiments, the handle can include a pair of handle portions. In other embodiments, a part of the handle can be aligned with a facial feature of a patient from whom a dental impression is to be obtained.
COMBINED MODEL SCANNING AND ORAL CAVITY SCANNING APPARATUS
The present invention relates to a combined model scanning and oral cavity scanning apparatus. The combined model scanning and oral cavity scanning apparatus includes an optical three-dimensional measurement unit configured to generate light, acquire intraoral shape information , and acquire model shape information, a data processor configured to generate three-dimensional tooth data, a data transmission unit configured to transmit the three-dimensional tooth data, a main body accommodating the optical three-dimensional measurement unit, the data processor, and the data transmission unit, and at least two intraoral scanning tips configured to be alternately detachable to the main body and provide light paths, wherein the at least two intraoral scanning tips includes a model scanning tip for scanning a dental model.
System and method for performing quality control
Disclosed are example embodiments of methods and systems for identifying and quantifying manufacturing defects of a manufactured dental prosthesis. Certain embodiments of the system for performing quality control on manufactured dental prostheses includes: a quality control module configured to determine whether the dental prosthesis is a good or a defective product based at least on a differences model generated by comparing a design model and a scanned model of the manufactured dental prosthesis.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR OPTICALLY SCANNING AN OBJECT IN REGISTRATION WITH A REFERENCE PATTERN
A system for scanning a dental arch of a patient includes a reference element having a reference pattern thereon; a holding mechanism configured to hold the reference element in a fixed position inside the patient's oral cavity adjacent to and spaced from the dental arch, wherein the holding mechanism is configured to be installed on the patient without contacting an occlusal surface of the dental arch; and an intra-oral scanner configured to scan the dental arch and an adjacent portion of the reference element to obtain a scanned image comprising the scanned portion of the dental arch and the scanned adjacent portion of the reference pattern.
Screw-attached pick-up dental coping system and methods
A temporary alignment system and method for holding a dental coping to an implant abutment using the same threads in the abutment that are used for definitive attachment are disclosed. The disclosed temporary fasteners initially orient and hold a coping against an abutment with a force along the same axis as the semi-definitive screw. The aligned coping can be picked-up in a closed-tray impression process without unscrewing the temporary fastener. Embodiments include threaded posts that release copings from the abutment through axial forces. Some embodiments include a threaded post with separable cap that is picked-up with the coping. Methods for converting an existing prosthesis for screw attachment to implants in a single visit and digital capture of the converted prosthesis are described.
