WOUND AND BANDAGE PROTECTION SYSTEM AND METHOD
A wound/bandage protector configured as a wrap, a sock/mitten, or a bandage may be made out of stretchable material. The wrap may have one or more fastening straps as well as possibly a first catch fastening surface. The sock/mitten may have a fastening strap and a sheath. The wrap, the sock/mitten, and the bandages may have apertures and aperture covers. In addition, the wound/bandage protectors as well as the bandages may have diamond or triangular gauze configurations with the gauze pad having three or four primary corners, the primary corners of the gauze pad in most instances being oriented towards edges of the body portion or length or width tangents of the body portion, preferably mid-points or mid-sections of the length or width tangents or body portion edges.
COMPRESSION BANDAGE
The invention relates to a compression bandage comprising a first non-woven laser (1) and at least one second non-woven layer (2) connected in a planar manner to the first non-woven layer (1), wherein superabsorbent fibers are provided in the first non-woven laser.
COOLING COHESIVE TAPE
An athletic tape product for securing or supporting a human or animal body part is provided that includes a substrate impregnated with an aqueous elastomer dispersion comprising cooling agents.
EQUINE POULTICE APPLICATION PADS
A poultice application pad includes a generally planar poultice layer for application to a treatment area of a limb of an animal, and a backing sheet, adjacent to the poultice layer, which backing sheet supports and holds the form of the poultice layer when contacting the first side of the poultice layer to the treatment area to reduce application time and displacement of the mud/clay mixture beyond the treatment area. Also disclosed is a set of such poultice application pads stacked one on top of another within a sealable container.
COMPRESSION BANDAGE AND COMPRESSION BANDAGE COMBINATION
The invention relates to a compression bandage comprising a nonwoven-based bandage layer that has been stitched over with elastic textile threads by stitch bonding methods, the textile threads being heat-shrinkable and not elastomeric and the compression bandage having an elasticity after heat shrinking of the textile threads by 50-200%, particularly 50% to 90% and especially 50% to 70%. The invention also relates to a compression bandage combination.
Compression dressing
There is provided herein a compression dressing comprising a first cushion layer (1) and a second support layer (2) wherein the two layers (1,2) are connected to each other in the unstretched state by means of a stich-bonding process via an elastic sewing thread, the stich length being 1.5 to 3mm/U at a sewing thread tension of at most 4 cN.
Stretchable non-woven fabric having excellent repetition durability
Provided are a stretchable non-woven fabric including crimped fibers, satisfying the following formula: (σ.sub.65−σ.sub.55)/(σ.sub.30−σ.sub.20)≥2.5, when a stress σ (N/50 mm) at a strain ε of 20%, 30%, 55% and 65% in a stress-strain curve by a tensile test for at least one direction in a plane direction, is referred to as σ.sub.20, σ.sub.30, σ.sub.55 and σ.sub.65, respectively, and a bandage including the non-woven fabric. The non-woven fabric and the bandage lead small deterioration in stretching performance when used repeatedly, and can be excellent in repetition durability.
Taping kit and method for attaching tape to be affixed to body
A taping kit is capable of controlling a depth of a stimulation according to the purpose to structural parts from the epidermis to the dermis and fascia. The taping kit includes two or more tapes to be affixed to the body containing at least a stretchable substrate and an adhesive layer on one surface of the substrate. The taping kit includes a first tape which has a plurality of slits in a longitudinal direction, and a second tape which has a plurality of slits in a longitudinal direction and is overlapped and attached on at least a part of the first tape.
Syndesmosis reduction device and method of use
An improved syndesmosis reduction device has a wrap of elastic material extending a length L from a first end to a second end with an open window or slot positioned in an intermediate portion of the wrap spaced from the ends. The wrap causes a reduction of an injured ankle and is facilitated by the elastic nature of the wrap. The reduction is facilitated by circumferentially wrapping the wrap from a leg to a foot or vice versa in a compressive fashion by securing the first end by wrapping and stretching the wrap to the second end. The window or slot is to permit an incision at the ankle for hardware placement without the need to remove the wrap and without loss of the reduction achieved.
SELF-ADHERING NONWOVEN FABRIC
Provided are a nonwoven fabric, wherein in a broken end part formed by a tensile test in accordance with JIS L 1913 of stretching in one direction to lead breakage, letting an innermost point in the one direction be P.sub.in and an outermost point be P.sub.out, distance D along the one direction between point P.sub.in and point P.sub.out is less than or equal to 50 mm, and a bandage using the same.
