Absorbent article having a functional enhancement indicator
An absorbent article includes a topsheet, an absorbent core, and a backsheet. The absorbent article has a visually perceptible functional enhancement indicator and a functionally-distinguishable portion of the article with one or more channels. The visually perceptible functional enhancement indicator corresponds to the one or more channels, and the functional enhancement indicator is visually perceptible from a body-facing side of the absorbent article but the one or more channels are not visually perceptible.
FEMININE NIGHT PAD
A feminine night pad is described having multiple layers of absorbent material selectively stacked in a manner to define a body portion and a central portion. Each portion is laid upon an upper surface of a trim member including an impermeable sheet. The body portion has a plurality of absorbing layers set in from the edge of the trim member. The central portion is built upon the body portion and includes one or more layers of additional absorbent material. The trim member is covered in absorbent material and extends around the entire periphery of the body portion. The trim member and corresponding portions are formed into a triangular shape to better conform to a woman's body.
Feminine Napkin Assembly
A feminine napkin assembly including a menstrual pad coupled with a fluid guide that directs the flow of menstrual fluid to a desired location on the pad is provided. The fluid guide may include an elongate member with a proximal end coupled to an upper surface on the menstrual pad and a distal end extending forward towards the front end of the menstrual pad. The distal end of the elongate member may be placed against or inside the user's vagina. In this way, the fluid guide member may guide menstrual fluid to the desired location on the pad, thereby minimizing leakage of the fluid out the sides, rear, or front of the pad.
Thong Panty Liner for Excessive Discharge
A disposable feminine menstrual pad with a tail (thong-type) structured to solve the problem of leakage of overflow while horizontal or vertical. The pad is a full size menstrual pad designed to be worn with a panty, and adhered to the crotch area by a strip of adhesive. The regular size (7-9 inch long) pad of any absorbency, but usually medium to heavy flow. A tail-like portion will have an additional 7-9 inches of absorbent material that is slim enough to fit in the anal canal with comfort. The tail-like portion will not have any adhesive and will naturally adhere to the area, further secured by the friction of the buttocks cheeks.
This product addresses the issue of menstrual overflow that travels and leaks in the rear or top of the buttocks crack. This can occur on heavy flow days with blood clots or near full pads limiting space for overflow blood to travel. Or it may occur simply based on how the body is positioned, sitting or laying down and the blood travels by rolling up the anus exiting the opening area or top crack. This can be extremely embarrassing and happen with no warning. This product will eliminate this problem.

ADAPTABLE ABSORBENT ARTICLES
An absorbent article having a longitudinal axis and a transverse axis is provided. The article has a topsheet and backsheet, together forming a chassis that is symmetrical about the transverse axis. An absorbent core is disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet, with a perimeter of the chassis extending beyond the surface area of the core. The absorbent core is asymmetrical about the transverse axis. In one embodiment, less than 50% of the surface area of the absorbent article is mechanically compressed. In another embodiment, the absorbent article has an in-use flexibility of less than 170 mN, preferably less than 130 mN. In a further embodiment, the absorbent article has a stiffness measured in the core free area of less than 0.4 g*cm.
ADAPTABLE ABSORBENT ARTICLES
An absorbent article having a longitudinal axis and a transverse axis and a front region and rear region disposed either side of the transverse axis is provided. The article has a topsheet with a shape that is symmetrical about the transverse axis and a backsheet with the same shape and size as the topsheet. An absorbent core is disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet, the absorbent core being asymmetrical about the transverse axis of the article, wherein more than 50% of the absorbent core is disposed in the front region of the absorbent article. The absorbent article further has an absorbency indicator, wherein more than 50% of the absorbency indicator is provided in the front of the absorbent article.
METHOD FOR MAKING ADAPTABLE ABSORBENT ARTICLES
A method of making an absorbent article having a longitudinal axis and a transverse axis is provided. The method involves delivering a supply of absorbent web in a machine direction and cutting the absorbent web material in a cross-direction to form a repeating nested pattern of generally identically shaped and oppositely oriented absorbent cores that are asymmetrical about the transverse axis. The cut absorbent cores are then positioned between a continuous web of topsheet and backsheet material, wherein the absorbent cores remain in the cross-direction and are spaced apart in the machine direction. Absorbent articles are then stamped out in the cross-direction, wherein adjacent absorbent articles have alternately oriented absorbent cores.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE HAVING FUNCTIONAL ENHANCEMENT INDICATORS
An absorbent article having a body-facing surface, a first end region a second end region, a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet is described. The absorbent article being adapted for placement in an undergarment has a crotch portion disposed between the first end region and the second end region; a longitudinal centerline and a transverse centerline, the centerlines being perpendicular to one another in the plane of the absorbent article when in a flat-out configuration. The absorbent article is asymmetric about the transverse centerline and has a first functional enhancement indicator visible from the body-facing surface and provides visually and tactilely perceptible indication of the first end region. A second functional enhancement indicator perceptible from the body-facing surface providing visually and tactilely perceptible indication of a region of fluid entry in the absorbent article is also included.
THONG-STYLE ABSORBENT ARTICLE
A thong-style absorbent article can have a waist region, a back extension extending from a back waist portion of the waist region, and a chassis extending between a front waist portion of the waist region and the back extension. The chassis can have a generally triangular shape and a pair of containment features positioned at the longitudinal direction side edges of the chassis. An exudate management system can be positioned between the pair of containment features and can have a first exudate management component and a second exudate management component. In various embodiments, the absorbent article can be adjustable in size and positioning about the wearer to provide for improved fit of the absorbent article and reduced leakage of exudate from the absorbent article.
