20230201048 · 2023-06-29 ·

The present inventive concept relates to a washable sanitary product. The sanitary product comprises a liquid impermeable back sheet, a liquid retaining pad, having an outer surface area adapted to reside nearest the skin of the user and an inner surface resting against the back sheet, wherein a peripheral portion of said back sheet extends radially outside a perimeter of said liquid retaining pad. The sanitary product further comprises a liquid impermeable annular liner being sealingly attached to the outer surface of the liquid retaining pad along the peripheral portion of the liquid retaining pad by a first seal and to the peripheral portion of the back sheet by a second seal, such that the peripheral portion of the liquid retaining pad is sandwiched between the back sheet and the liner. The annular liner and the back sheet together form a liquid impermeable container for said liquid retaining pad. The liquid retaining pad comprises least one element of spacer fabric that serves as both liquid distribution layer and as liquid retaining layer.

[Problem] To prevent separation and accompanying tearing of a front-surface sheet when non-heat-fusible fibers are used in the front-surface sheet.

[Solution] An absorber 4 is interposed between a front-surface sheet 3 and a back-surface sheet 2, and side sheets 7 are disposed on both side portions along the longitudinal direction. The front-surface sheet 3 contains non-heat-fusible fibers, and the side sheets 7 contain a heat-fusible resin. The front-surface sheet 3 is interposed between the laminated side sheets 7 on the outer side in the width direction than the absorber 4 whereby a side flap portion SF in which the side sheet 7, the front-surface sheet 3, the side sheet 7, and the back-surface sheet 2 are laminated in that order from the skin side is formed. A fusing portion 10 in which the sheets forming the side flap portion SF are integrally heat-fused is provided in a region of the side flap portion SF including at least the front and back ends of a sanitary napkin 1.

ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH AN ABSORBENT SYSTEM HAVING AN ANNULAR OPENING

An absorbent article can have a topsheet layer, a backsheet layer, and an absorbent system positioned between the topsheet layer and the backsheet layer. The absorbent system can have at least a fluid intake layer, an absorbent core, and a distribution layer. The fluid intake layer and the absorbent core can define an aligned annular opening in the absorbent system and can maintain the topsheet layer in a spaced apart relationship from the distribution layer.

Absorbent article with elasticized region

A disposable absorbent article may include a topsheet, backsheet, absorbent core, and an elasticized region disposed in a leg gasketing system. The elasticized region may include a first elastic member and a second elastic member. The first elastic member is joined to the article at both a first contraction starting point and a first contraction ending point, and the second elastic member is joined to the article at both a second contraction starting point and a second contraction ending point. The first contraction starting point is disposed on a first start axis and the second contraction starting point is disposed on a second start axis, wherein the second start axis is different than the first start axis.

Absorbent article

An absorbent article including at least a topsheet layer and a backsheet layer, each layer having a body facing surface and a garment facing surface, and longitudinal and transversal edges, the article having a longitudinal front portion, a longitudinal back portion and a crotch portion located between the front and the back portion, the article includes a first zone of microencapsulated phase change material on a surface of a layer of the article, and wherein the first zone has a non-linear boundary in at least the transversal direction of the article.

Disposable hygiene article with improved fit

The present invention relates to a disposable hygiene article having a core with a first area which has its narrowest width (M) in the transverse direction (x) in a front portion or at a location of a transition between the front portion and a crotch portion of the article. Further, the absorbent core in the crotch portion has at least one front compression line forming an essentially upside down turned V comprising a first leg, a second leg and a common front tip with a V-shaped second compression line in the front portion having a third leg and a fourth leg. Each of the legs extends and diverges at a mutual angle (α.sub.4) of from 30-120° in the respective mirror-imaged portions (I) and (II). The common front tip is located in contact with or at a distance from an imaginary transverse line indicating the narrowest width M.
