The present disclosure relates to an absorbent article, such as an infant diaper, training pant, feminine hygiene article, adult incontinence article or wound care dressing. The absorbent article comprises a topsheet. The topsheet comprises or consists of a fibrous nonwoven layer arranged on a wearer facing side of the topsheet. The fibrous nonwoven layer is coated over a coated area on the wearer facing side of the topsheet with a coating composition. The coating composition comprises a lubricant agent comprising an alkoxylated diester selected from the group consisting of fatty ester lubricants.

The present invention relates to a nonwoven fabric comprising a plurality of polypropylene-containing fibers that form a nonwoven web, which fibers in addition contain a slip agent, the web has a side which is provided with an alternating pattern which consists of individualized bonded areas which bonded areas are in the form of rods which are arranged in the cross direction of the web, the alternating pattern of individualized bonded areas defines a non-bonded area, the web has a basis weight on the range of from 5-25 g/m.sup.2, the surface of the bonded areas is in the range of 5-20% of the total surface of the side, and the surface of the non-bonded area is in the range of 80-95% of the total surface of the side. The present invention further relates to a process for forming the nonwoven fabric.

ABSORBENT ARTICLE HAVING A LOTIONED TOPSHEET

The absorbent article of the invention has a liquid impervious backsheet and a liquid pervious topsheet joined to the backsheet. The topsheet has an inner surface oriented toward the interior of the absorbent article and an outer surface oriented toward the skin and hair of the wearer when the absorbent article is being worn and an absorbent core positioned between the topsheet and the backsheet. At least a portion of the topsheet outer surface comprises an effective amount of a lotion coating which is semi-solid or solid at 20 degrees C., the lotion coating comprising:

(i) from about 10 to about 95% of a substantially water free emollient having a plastic or fluid consistency at 20 degrees C. wherein the emollient contains 5% or less water, the emollient comprising a member selected from the group consisting of petroleum-based emollients, fatty acid ester emollients, alkyl ethoxylate emollients, and mixtures thereof;

(ii) from about 5 to about 90% of an agent capable of immobilizing the emollient on the outer surface of the topsheet, the immobilizing agent being miscible with the emollient, the immobilizing agent having a melting point of at least about 35 degrees C. wherein the immobilizing agent is selected from the group consisting of polyhydroxy fatty acid esters, polyhydroxy fatty acid amides, C14-C22 fatty alcohols, C14-C22 fatty acids, C14-C22 fatty alcohol ethoxylates with a degree of ethoxylation of 4 or less, and mixtures thereof.

The absorbent article comprises a hydroentangled cushion material forming at least a portion of a garment-facing surface of the core wrap or positioned intermediate the core wrap and the backsheet. The cushion material has a basis weight in the range of about 20 gsm to about 40 gsm.
